"The best creperie in Paris became one of the worst as the new owner, although nice and courteous, is really clueless about what is a crepe. The galettes de sarrasin have become ultra-thin and so overcooked and crispy that they explode into roasted crumbs as soon as you put a fork in them. They are harder than crepes dentelles. The most original and tasty options of the previous menu such as the delicious leek confit are gone. The cider we were served must have been opened many days ago as it had no sparklings left in it. It was so sweet it tasted like low-grade apple juice. Ah, and also, it is now served in wine glasses instead of the traditionnal bolée (a small ceramic bowl specially used to drink cider). The waiter, although nice and well-meaning, never looks at you and could not explain the special of the day. Also, he did not even know the meaning of the word "sarrasin" the flour used to make the galettes. Imagine a hamburger restaurant waiter not understanding the word "bun". As for the decoration, it has become just as awful as the food and drinks. The previous one was nothing fancy but had a coherent syle made of paintings and objects appropriately typical of Brittany in accordance with the name of the creperie and the food that it serves. The new one consists of seemingly randomly picked stuff put on the wall such as tacky low-definition flower pictures next to a Guiness poster, which makes you wonder whether you are sitting in a tasteless motel room or an Irish pub :).It is one of those saddeding experiences when visibly nice and well-meaning people get everything wrong due to a flabbergastlingly disconcerting lack of common sense."
