"Last night we enjoyed a lovely festive meal. The table was set beautifully, all of the food was piping hot and delicious and good portions. Lots of fresh vegetables and one of our party stated on booking that they only liked 3 certain vegetables thinking this would give them leeway on providing some of what she liked but she got all 3, very impressed. Staff were friendly and professional. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I felt the stuffing wasn't home made, there was no bread sauce, not enough toast for the amount of pate and we didn't get a Xmas cracker this may be due to covid? Overall a lovely meal and others that were dining from the menu, their meals looked gorgeous."

Personal service. Staff very friendly and very efficient. Great food. Super breakfast. Great for individuals and groups. Lovely gardens. We had a great room this year. Very spacious and suitable for anyone with walking disabilities.

Lovely hotel in a nice setting. Dog friendly and actually make you feel welcome. Clean comfortable room and very friendly staff. We had a lovely evening meal, food was very nice and we enjoyed a full cooked English breakfast. Top marks! View menu

Spent a few days here last December with my mother enjoyed it very much booking again for this year. I am gluten intolerant all the staff were knowledgeable and helpful and menus were adapted for me I ate here with confidence. Very restful and comfortable stay

back to home after an overshadow overnight with dinner bed and breakfast. beautiful peaceful gardens, enjoyed a drink in the sun. beautiful room in the next building, dinner was really good, ćovely size portion without feeling over full. great choice at breakfast. staff very friendly and helpful without being in their face. could just come back for a room with a view!

What a beautiful place. Have just returned home after a 2 night stay for work. Staff are both friendly and incredibly helpful. The personal touch of knowing why we were staying and helping us with directions is fantastic. The food is outstanding and I absolutely loved my room. When you're inside and look out the back at the views it's perfect. I'd love to go back and stay again. View menu

We stayed here nearly 20 years ago and returned to celebrate our anniversary. We managed to get the same 4-poster room we stayed in all those years ago. Room 3 is a fabulous room with views over the garden. The food is fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here and we won't be waiting another 20 years before we visit again!

perfect for couples and families. beautiful well maintained gardens. the personal amazing so helpful and friendly. having a single room was not a problem and spacious. in contrast to many singles in other hotels, small dark. our evening meal was delicious served cake hot the menus choice to suit all. breakfast again very good piping hot and fast service. all in all I am booking rooms for group next year.
