"Went with my husband and son for lunch to the Teapot! Ordered lunch and waited and waited.. watching everyone else get their food. Finally went to ask where the food was and the waitress looked at the kitchen staff and said what's happened to the order? The kitchen staff replied what order and proceeded to say they had missed the order as they had turned over two pages on the pad together! We could not believe it there was no apology just both saying it was not their fault!! Obviously customer service is not high up on their list and to add insult to injury they could not even muster an apology. All we could hear as we left was the waitress saying it wasn't my fault. All I can say is they can only handle a simple tea and cake anything cooked seems to be beyond their remit."

Looks nice but the unfriendly welcome spoiled the image a bit. Tea and cake was lovely but the crockery and table could have been a bit cleaner. I’d try somewhere else next time.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for enjoying breakfast or afternoon tea. The cakes are absolutely delicious as well. The garden is lovely for sitting outside in the summer months.

We called in by chance and unfortunately later in the day so a few items were no longer available but the food we had was very good and the staff there friendly and couldn’t fault it.

Booked for AfternoonTea and it was excellent. The staff were most attentive and very polite. The sandwiches, cake and scones were of the highest quality with a very nice tasting pot of tea. Good value and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended View menu

Lovely relaxing afternoon tea. Scrummy sandwiches we were called beforehand to make sure of the ones we preferred and delicious cakes. We took the scones/jam/cream with us for later and they were very tasty too. Special mention to Kerry and Hannah who were on top form serving that afternoon. Would highly recommend for afternoon tea.

After visiting the Stanley Spencer Gallery, we walked to the Tea Pot on High Street for lunch. Unfortunately, the lack of welcome, available tables not cleared, and absence of menus left us waiting and feeling ignored. After about 5 minutes, we decided to leave for a better experience nearby at Deliciously French. The service, coffee, and food at Deliciously French were outstanding. We highly recommend it as a better alternative.

I recently used a Christmas voucher for afternoon tea at Teapot Cafe and had a fantastic experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and on such a hot day, they gave us the choice of sitting inside or out. The food was delicious - we were served a generous selection of tasty sandwiches, two large scones with jam and cream, and five huge slices of cake. It was so much food that we couldn't finish it all, but they kindly boxed up the leftovers for us to enjoy throughout the week. It had been some time since our last visit to the cafe, but after this wonderful experience, we will definitely be returning soon. View menu

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Maidenhead staying at the Thames Riviera Hotel (Review to follow) and earlier today we did the 150 minute round trip Riverside Walk to the lovely Village of Cookham. Whilst there we paid a visit to the Teapot Tea Shop easily found on the High St where we much enjoyed English Breakfast Tea for two accompanied by a generous slice of homemade Blueberry Cake. Just what we wanted after the first leg of our walk and although the property was busy on arrival we found a nice table in the rear garden area and service was excellent. Certainly somewhere we would return to on our next visit to Cookham whenever that may be!!

Saturday pm visit for hot drinks cake. Quickly offered a table which was fine after we stepped around various canine obstructions. Ordered a coffee, hot chocolate and 2 cakes. The raspberry white chocolate cake was excellent but the lemon drizzle poor compared to experiences elsewhere (quite dry not much drizzle). Coffee good quality but a very small cup. Hot chocolate was a mug of frothy milk with a chocolate stick to dunk in it. The milk receded to half a mug and wasn’t very hot. Bill came to £16.20 which was high and would expect better quality quantity at that price. We made a point about the hot chocolate and was offered a £1 discount. Given the disappointment, won’t hurry back to be ho...
