Thai Orchid - Menu

Really enjoyed our laab salad minced meat of different types with spices. It was the most authentic dish we ate so well recommended. Would make a nice lunch with rice!

A quiet lunchtime, but made very welcome, and the food was great, plenty of food, and a very reasonable lunch menu, lovely friendly service, a must on a visit to exeter !!

Friendly staff and wonderful food. It was quite quiet and we ended up being the last customers left so had time to chat with the staff. A great evening and will definitely be back soon. View menu

We weren’t sure what to order so went for one of the set menus. It was brilliant. We ended up with plates of food we would never have ordered but so glad it gave us a chance to try it. Would definitely recommend.

Wildly disappointed in service. Been here sporadically a few times over and tonight was worst service and it was for a special birthday. Had to ask for starter to be chased up and been sat in seat in excess of an hour. Then had...to ask for main course to be chased up after in the seat and gave up on dessert etc. Shame food was lovely when arrived but service spoilt it somewhat dreadful service

Am sitting in this restaurant right now. We have been here for one and a half hours. So far they only have managed to produce starters for of us both delivered at different times. After asking numerous times I was told mine was “difficult...to cook” when it came it was deep fried frozen breaded sea food with a standard sweet chilli dip. Not difficult to cook at all. My partners starter of mushroom satay was pretty dull too. Dreadful service and so far pretty mediocre food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone View menu

We booked online and had this confirmed in an email. We turned up on time having driven miles to Exeter, then Park and Ride and finally a ten minute walk to arrive spot on Wed December for our Thia experience. How dissapointing...to find the restaraunt CLOSED. No notice with any explanation. I rang the number to hear an answering machine. Just as we wre leaving we saw a man come out and we obviously asked what was going on. He said he was a chef and there was illness at the restaraunt. NO NOTICE ON DOOR NO E-MAIL We are not well pleased !

Have eaten at the Thai Orchid many times, the food and service has always been excellent. However, today was very different! We booked a table for lunch and had an emailed confirmation several days ago. After a mile drive, we arrived at the restaurant...at the agreed time to find the door locked and lights off. Knocking the door brought a man who said they wern't open despite our booking. He closed and locked the door not very professional! Some minutes later, we managed to attract the attention of a lady who turned out to be the chef. She was far more polite than the previous man, contacted the owner, who, from the conversation didn't seem to care. The chef said we could go inside, but she...

Oh dear, where do I start We had horses we own running at Newton Abbot and having made the journey from Salisbury by train, decided to look for a restaurant on the way back and were pleased when The Thai Orchid took our online booking...A short while after booking we took a call asking us to delay our booking slot due to a large party arriving simultaneously, no problem I said.
