"Wow, this place is fantastic! The food was the best Afternoon Tea we've ever experienced. I discovered The Agricultural Inn through a suggested post on social media and decided to check out the menu. We opted for Afternoon Tea, and the added bonus was that we could enjoy it starting at noon, unlike other places that serve it much later. This was perfect for us, as we wanted to have some food before heading back for the school run. We booked an outdoor pod, and it was such a delight. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the food was simply delicious. I highly recommend this place; we will definitely return with our children to enjoy this wonderful setting."

"We live locally and have heard great things, so we thought we give it a try and booked a table for my birthday celebrations on a Sunday 6 August. What we heard was true! Great food we all had different dishes to include Sunday Roast, all of which were delicious and fantastically presented even the children's pizza which were huge! Wonderful ambience, very relaxed and beautifully clean too! Lots of friendly staff, keen to help and very polite. Good value for freshly cooked cuisine. We will be back! "So I went here for a work as part of an away day, we also went to Prodigy Escapes round the corner. Great day out! The team were amazing from the beginning. Booked about a month in advance. Pre-ordered all our food and drink. The food delivery was SLICK coming out no returns! No problems. Absolutely outstanding food quality and drinks for everyone had an amazing time and it's a fantastic location and calm and relaxed inside. Will be coming back. I had the Vegan breakfast OMG! EASILY the best vegan breakfast in Exeter annoyingly better than my own. Everyone said the bread was incredible. Catered and went above and beyond for someone in our group who is coeliac who also had a great time. Thank you!"

"This place is tucked away on a road not far from the city centre. It's a proper pub showing sport, and has a pool table. The staff in there were really friendly and explained the token system to us, whereby you pay £10 for 3 drinks and if you don't want the third at the time of purchase, they give you a token to have the extra drink another time. Not sure this totally worked when ordering a G&T, as they are only £3.00 each time anyway, but it does work if the round consists of something more expensive. We sat on one of the sofas, which had a stack of games next to it (and involved us playing a heated round of checkers! . They do have some food, although it's pretty basic. We've not eaten there, so can't comment. If you want a proper pub, with no frills, then this is the place."

"I reviewed this some time ago, but I had occasion to dine again recently (May 2024) so I thought I would revisit my review. The restaurant wasn't exactly empty, but it was nowhere near full or half full. That was a great shame as the food and service was excellent. The service was attentive without intruding and putting a jug of water on the table when we arrived was a nice touch. The food was excellent, much better than pub food, it was nicely presented, hot and plentiful. The menu had something for everyone, I didn't realise there was a specials board but I do now and will look out for it on my next visit. I understand the cocktails are worth a look. The staff were friendly and efficient, the duty manager (Gilly) was a great asset to the establishment, if only all restaurant staff were this knowledgeable and effective, perhaps The Stables should be giving Masterclasses on how it should be done. Please take note Wetherspoons. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. This was my previous review. Excellent food and service. Much more than pub food.."

"Really nice food. Great new owners who have are really friendly and accommodating. Some have said the food is pricey and whilst it is probably above average pricing, the ingredients are all top notch and where possible, locally sourced. You get what you pay for. We ate here about a dozen times over the summer, mainly with visitors from the SE. They all said what a brilliant place it was and wished it was their local! Well done for the turnaround and all the new innovations."
