"We love this pub. It is well done out inside the ambiance great and the service very good. The thing we find unfortunately is the food, it is so up and down in quality and taste and therefore not good quality for money. My friend and I had the so called Prawns Pil pil as billed on menu.. Now bearing in mind they serve Spanish Tapas, we would assume that the Pil Pil would be authentic Spanish. The pil pil was served with luke warm prawns dry, no sauce at all and not sizzling as in Spain. Instead we had low grade, tasteless prawns dusted we think, as it was not on all the prawns, with a peri peri dust and served with green salad leaves in same bowl as prawns. We were so disappointed we both left most of them. The Thai fish cakes were also rather tasteless with no Thai flavouring inside. Aside from those the main courses were mainly good. The chips were not great, which was served with the steak and fish but the main things were cooked nicely for the best part. We love coming to your pub and will return. I never give bad reviews only feedback. This is feedback on the food not the pub itself."

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and offered the option to choose our table. The staff was fantastic, and the food was exceptional. It could not have been any better.

Great meal again at The Angel. Sunday Lunch. Service was spot on as was the meal itself, at the table within 20 mins, hot and plenty of it. Well worth a 5 star review, oh and the beer was as usual top notch.

We arrived for an evening meal, The Angel Inn is beautifully laid out with beautiful artwork dotted around the walls. The team were exceptional. We ordered the fish and chips and my gosh the piece of fish was huge!

The calamari was not the best I've ever had and the service was slow in the beginning, but the rest of the meal was excellent. The steak was delicious and the portions were generous for the price. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I will definitely return!
