I was taken here for a surprise breakfast and it was brilliant. The decor is great, staff are friendly..and the full English was superb, cant wait to go again. We purchased a couple of loaves of their breaf to take home...which was delicious View menu

Simply the best, Retford is fortunate in having a number of good places to have lunch but The Apron is just the best. Superb food (especially the fish dishes), a varied menu warm friendly staff ... but don't tell anyone. it's hard enough to get a table there already !

Popped in for a lunch date with my wife and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Staff very friendly and attentive and food was great too! Overall a great experience and I cannot wait to come back again. Steak was perfectly cooked and key lime pie was so silly smooth!

Amazing food and brilliant customer service! We enjoyed a family birthday meal here today, we rang ahead (by 2 weeks) to ensure they could cater for a vegan diet. And wow did they deliver! The 3 course vegan meals were amazing, so well thought through and cooked to perfection. The meat meals were all enjoyed also, everyone's plate was clean. Would highly recommend View menu

A stunning starter! We love finding quirky or off beat places for great food. The view out onto the runway is great on a nice day. The interior was smart, comfortable and there was a warm welcome. The soda bread was soft and very tasty. We really enjoyed the crab beignets with Asian style slaw and chilli dipping sauce it was fantastic. The sea bass main tasted great and the skin was crispy. It was a large portion so a dessert was off the menu for me! The cakes looked inviting too so we’ll definitely be returning!

Phoned to book a table for 4 adults and 2 toddlers yesterday as it was my Dads birthday. We were actually in town looking at other cafes at the the time however the girl that answered asked if we wanted food and said that was fine but to come straight away. I did explain we were in town but we would pack up and head straight over (which we did she said this was fine. Absolutely no mention of food service stopping on the phone. We arrived 20/25 minutes later at 2.57 to be told we couldn’t have food and it was only cake/coffees as they stopped at 3. Not a disability friendly cafe ! If your disabled, I 'd advise not going ! My 2 daughters went for a day out to watch the plains and get some lunch ! They didn 't know they at to book, which is fine and we 're told they could sit outside and order drinks and cake, absolutely fine ! So.....my youngest daughter has high functioning autism, looks just like Mr and you but has autism and high anxiety, so getting her to agree to go out takes alot of planning and talking. Get her to go BUT has to take her own packed lunch, now many will say 'you can 't take your own food to a cafe '....fully understand BUT when a staff member approaches them and infront of other customers and embarrassed them telli...
