"We have used the Ashmaan for many years, never again. We ordered a take away at the weekend, it was not good! We ordered a Ashmaan byriani, lamb, chicken and prawns £11.25, there was 4 small pieces of chicken and 4 of lamb, the prawns were so small you could hardly see them. We added a sauce at a cost of an extra £2.75, £14 for a dish of rice and peas! If we had ordered chicken tikka, we would have gotten a full chicken breast, rice and salad…..We also ordered a Royal Korma, it should have had sultanas in it, there were none, the dish it’s self had a sour taste not creamy as expected. The garlic naan was also sour I am not sure if the garlic was over cooked, we didn’t eat it. We were so disappointed!"

Getting takeaway from The Ashmaan is always tasty, reliably good quality and quick service. Generous portions. Recommend

We were staying at a local Caravan site, we ordered a meal to be delivered to the site. The meal arrived on time requested and was perfect. Top marks to The Ashmaan restaurant and the delivery team. Will definitely use next time!

When we lived in Scotland this was our go-to take away. We've visited after two years and can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. Delicious food, generous portions, friendly staff (family run) and here is a first; gluten free naan bread!!! Looking forward to next year's visit!

Thought we'd try here for a change so glad we visited. The food was delicious wth really generous portion sizes. The lady who served us was so helpful and gave advice and recommendations on the various sauces etc for our meal. It had a nice friendly family feel. We'll be back again soon.

My daughter recommended this place to my boyfriend and I to try and we are so glad we did. Service was impeccable. Food was exceptional and tasty and fresh. We shared the mixed pakora which had a spicy kick. We shared one of the BIGGEST nan breads we've ever had. Both our main dishes were delicious. We will recommend and most definitely return.

I think there are a few old reviews of mine on here. Some good some bad. Well now they obviously have a decent chef and the food is very good and decent sized portions. I have only used the Ashmann for takeaways recently as they no longer sell alcohol in the restaurant so it’s more of a takeaway now. It’s not cheap but you get good quality food. And locally there is no competition.

This place is terrible, save your money and your tastebuds. A very average curry firstly, but it 's also extremely expensive for what it is. They 'll also charge you £1.25 extra for the privilege of a 'hot ' curry rather than a mild curry so cheeky and a total con. First time i 've ever seen that in any restaurant and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Go to the other indian in Linlithgow, Delhi 's Winter, instead. Better tasting and better value for money.

Spur-of-the-moment decision to check out The Ashmaan (our training run took us past the door, planting the seed earlier this evening). From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we had a really great feeling about the place, friendly staff, really sharp decor, intelligent design and use of space to create intimate booth-style tables. As vegans, we found plenty of choice on the menu and our waiter, Tariq, was very helpful in explaining what dishes were likely to suit our stated preferences. The food, when it arrived, was delicious. The restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, but the non-alcoholic beers were indistinguishable from the real thing. Will definitely be back.
