"When we arrived for our reservation, I reiterated my grandson's allergies to our server, who then informed the chef. The chef recommended a roast dinner for my grandson, which we agreed to. However, when the food arrived, it was covered in peas, one of my grandson's allergens. The server was apologetic and promptly tried to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, I had lost confidence in the kitchen staff at that point and my grandson ended up with just a plate of chips. A young employee came to our table to apologize on behalf of the kitchen staff, but there was no visit from the chef or manager. The rest of our visit was met with the staff seemingly avoiding us. While the food at Beechlawn's is delicious and the staff are friendly, the lack of proper training on handling food allergies was concerning. Allergies are serious and can be life-threatening, and it's important for restaurant staff to take them seriously. It seemed as though the staff thought we were being overly picky, but allergies should never be taken lightly."

We arrived as a party of 5 with no reservation but the staff found us a table the service was excellent. It was a Sunday so there was a 3 course menu with a good range of options. Every course was outstanding the portions are large but everyone had the same amount of food. Would highly recommend good value for money.

First class food and service at the restaurant at the Beechlawn Hotel. During our stay for a week we enjoyed the delicious food in the restaurant. Quality and presentation was first class as was the service. A special mention for Angela for her efficient and caring service. Thank you all at the Beechlawn. B+ N from France.

I enjoy the food at Beechlawn and dine there frequently, but today I felt quite unsafe. We interacted with four different servers during our meal, two of whom were not wearing masks at all. I was dining with a friend who is considered high risk, so I do not believe it is worth the risk to return. Although the tables are adequately spaced and hand sanitizer is readily available, having table staff without masks poses a potential danger to all customers.

Me and my partner was looking for something to eat while we were in Dunmurry. So we decided to call in and see if we could get a seat. Waitress as host was nice and told us about special and went through menu, we ordered 2 stufed Turkey dinner and jug of water. All was going good till other waiters brought water to table and while she put down she was very unpleasant. Dinner was tasty and nice I wouldn't rush to come back as are mamy better places and restaurants to eat out. So General experience was just average.

I took my brother to this restaurant for his birthday lunch, but it turned out to be a disaster. There were 7 of us in our group, but the service was incredibly slow. One person waited half an hour for their starter, and then we had to wait a long time for our main courses. When my meal finally arrived, I had to send it back because the lettuce was soggy and expired. After another 20 minutes, my replacement meal still hadn't come out of the kitchen, so I had to cancel it. The waitress apologized and offered me a complimentary dessert, but even that took another 20 minutes to arrive. In the end, I left the restaurant hungry and disappointed, especially since other groups who arrived after us...

We have been customers here for about 30 years and have always enjoyed eating here..... until recently. Although the food remains great the service has become terrible. There seems to have been a change in management procedures in restaurant and it is messy. Two weeks running we have witnessed the same problem on a Friday evening. We had 3 or 4 different waiters/waitresses take parts of our order and no one seems to know what order is for which table. Added to that the waiting times have become ridiculous. We waited ages to get our orders taken, two of them were wrong, and it took over 35 mins for our main courses to arrive. I ended up asking for my desert in a takeaway box as we had been th...

I booked a table for six people today at 2 PM, we arrived on time and were seated, this was a lunch celebration for my 96 year old mother birthday. We had to go and ask for our order to taken, after our order was placed it was 2.55 before our meals were served we had to ask where they were, after half an hour waiting, and were told that the kitchen was only just preparing them we had to ask then two servings turned up while everyone else waited. NOT at all happy with this level of service, we also had to ask for our drinks order to be taken and then when desserts we ordered they just simply didn't turn up with no explanation but were placed on the bill removed after we pointed this out. "Without a doubt the worst experience we have ever had. Pre booked a table for 5 for dinner on Saturday evening and when we arrived they didn't seem that busy. We were shown to our table relatively quick. We then had to sit there for around 20 minutes until someone came to take our food order. I was a bit surprised that there was only 2 steaks on the menu unless you gave 24hr notice. We then had to ask could we order a drink. It wasn't a difficult order 1 beer and 4 Fanta. We waited a further 15 for the drinks to come which were wrong also the glasses were disgusting with lipstick and previous drink residue on them.we eventually got all that sorted and the food came. I had ordered a mixed grill which was £28 I asked for my steak to be cooked medium. The plates were literally just in front of us 2 minutes when a waitress came and asked was everything OK. As I began to work my way through the food I eventually got to the 8oz steak which was very well done and extremely hard to chew so it was left. When everyone had finished they came to clear the plates and I told the waitress that I had asked for medium and not well done and to my surprise she immediately got on the defensive asking did someone come and see if everything was OK I told her yes but it was just after the food was brought. 2 minutes later the owner of the place came out of the kitchen with my steak on a small plate and proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that that's the way a medium steak should look but there was not even a slight tinge of pink. He then started to tell me that I didn't know how steak was cooked. I then mentioned the glasses and he said didn't they get replaced so what's the problem. At this point t my kids were getting pretty upset so I just asked for the bill so we could leave. To be honest it was very intimidating to have a well over 6ft man stand over you arguing over a piece of steak. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone."

"Where to begin? Our mother decided to “treat” myself and my sister to lunch. However, soon our joy turned into laughter, and then to severe disappointment. My sister and I shared a “panini” of bacon, Brie and cranberry sauce. Firstly, the “panini” was a baguette...which had been seared then microwaved. The bacon was the best bit, yet had clearly reheated in a microwave. The Brie, was next to non-existent. The cranberry sauce, oh my goodness it was atrocious. Our “panini” was not a generous size for a grand price of half of which was filled with psychedelic blood-like sugary cranberry sauce (with giant chunks of cranberry). First when my sister took a bite I thought she was over exaggerating, for I had not tasted the cranberry sauce yet, it was upon my second bite the true horror of the “panini” had come to fruition. Picture this, expecting to have a bite of creamy Brie, crispy bacon, and tart cranberry sauce, and then instead being met with a taste that resembled sweetened jelly powder. I tried to convince myself that my tastebuds were deceiving me I fought through the overwhelming taste of sweeties, to attempt to taste the Brie, which in fact I couldn’t find. The bacon flavour barely made it through and the bread was more a sponge for soaking up the cranberry sauce. As you can see from the photo provided, in order to make some attempt at finishing the “panini”, my sister and I had to dissect it and surgically remove what looked like blood clots cranberries. To add to this horror, there was but a sad pile of coleslaw, apparently a pile of crinkle-cut crisps it wasn’t even to my surprise at this point that there was one solitary crinkle-cut crisp among a variety of other flavoured basic crisps. To top this all off, our mother bravely tried the pink foam substance (we still aren’t sure what it was) and she had to immediately reach for her glass of water to wash away the taste. This experience produced within us both feelings of guilt and shame. Guilt, because our mother (who rarely eats out) was attempting to “treat” us to brunch. She felt guilty at inflicting such a disastrous “panini” on us as a “treat”. Shame, because we are the type of family who NEVER leave food on our plates, yet we were so embarrassed about how it looked like we barely ate anything at all, so we quickly made an exit. In conclusion, the hot food needs serious reform. On a positive note, the staff seemed friendly."
