"If you enjoy a blue steak...this is the place to go. Steak is cooked to your liking but I 've sent back so many steaks from other establishments because they think they know better! Here they listened to what I wanted...and they certainly delivered. For the record it was my birthday and I shared (I don 't share usually) a chateaubriand and lobster with my partner, a very expensive dish! But it was my birthday so what could go wrong?....well nothing actually! The food was excellent and service to match...attentive staff no pressure, no one kept asking if everything was alright I have no negative points! I took a picture of our meal, and asked the patron if it was OK to post my plate of raw meat. We decided that it was not a good idea as people would think their meals were undercooked ...they 're not of course! Altogether an amazing experience and an establishments worthy of your support. Trying to book a table in July...phone not being answered...big panic!!!"

We had an excellent meal, the seafood platter was to die for and the venison loin cooked to perfection. We will definitely make this our 'go to ' restaurant.

My wife and I had a table for two on December 21, 2023, at 7pm for her birthday. We arrived early and had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The service and food were excellent, and we were very impressed. Great job, guys! We will definitely be returning.

We were spoilt for a large choice of variety of food. Food is 9.5/10. You can only get better meals only in food specific places but then you don't get this huge variety. If you want to please everyone in your family or your friends then this is the right place. Book by phone in advance. The staff is professional. Portions are very large. 100% recommend

Firstly the food was very good but overpriced. Drinks just as expensive, unfortunately ordered a certain wine and paid for it only to see the grumpy bar bloke provide us with cheaper wine, great. That leads me on to the service. It was dead when we walked in for our booked table and there was staff all over. Nobody greeted us! Trying to order a drink was a chore too. I asked for a certain drink only to be bluntly told it's this and that's it. The same grumpy old bloke proceeded to smash bottles, make noise and obviously treat his regulars, you know the types, with personal service. A shame you couldn't treat us with the same respect as newbies. Absolutely the last time there. And with a bill...

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
