"Reserved a table online. When we arrived we were told the chef wouldn’t prepare the main menu so only had limited bar snacks/pizza menu to choose from. When we tried to place order we were then told the kitchen had closed. We told the waitress that we had a dinner reservation and she did speak to the chef who agreed to make our food. The food itself was good, and the front of house staff were friendly and helpful but to be honest probably won’t be back due to the attitude of the chef. Shouldn’t have to negotiate for a pizza when you have a dinner reservation."

The Sunday Roast Beef dinner: Big yorkshire pudding, carrots, parsnips, potatoes, gravy. 2 wafer thin slices of beef (bacon rasher size) most places offer a lot more beef than this for less in price. £24.95 Not good value.

What a great find. The food was to die for and pipping hot and home-made, which is a big bonus. So a big whoop whoop for Gemma the chief and Suzanne who kept us entertained. Such a friendly bunch. We will definitely be going back again.

The bar was quite lively when we visited because of a football game, but we were found I nice quiet corner and the service was great. Food was good , with a new , but very tasty variation on Lasagne . The Frivkles were Particularly nice.

we love to come to lunch in the shoe. we own a business 2 minutes away and after a busy morning with our escape room players it is always good to know that it is good to eat before our doorstep. we love eating, the staff are always very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is fantastic

saw through the cozy fire with a few drinks with my family before you go to the restaurant for dinner. eating was traditionally really nice. was extremely busy as Friday night, but service was still personable from a high standard. great atmosphere in a beautiful village. would highly recommend.
