The Bower House - Menu

The room was gorgeous and the food delicious, but most importantly each and every member of staff was absolutely lovely.

Great service here in a lovely setting. The cocktails are nice and food was very tasty. It is a little pricier than other places but definitely worth visiting.

we had a great experience on Saturday in the bower house in shipston. we were expected by two fantastic waitresses who were very polite and were nothing too angry for them. we will. again great place to eat and watch how the world passes.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here. We had the fixed price menu which was very good value. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Nicely fitted out restaurant with a good atmosphere. We were surprised that it was so quiet as the food was excellent.

The combination of efficient, friendly service and relaxed ambience make dining at the Bower House a very pleasant experience that justifies the high prices. On our evening visit the restaurant was fully booked, yet the noise level was well controlled and the table service was...prompt and helpful. We had studied the website carefully and come the evening itself we were not disappointed.

we ate on the bower house on a Saturday night and were not disappointed! the restaurant had a good atmosphere with friendly staff and eating was excellent. we had a shipston sour cocktail while we started the menu, followed by the burata and the mackerel, we both had the cod for a main page and since we were full we shared the brot and butter pudding. our server was great and pleased that we make reasonable pauses between the curses. we would come back happy.

Bower House lives up to its reputation of providing wonderful food in a lovely setting. Being able to stay on the premises in their new stylish bedrooms sealed it for us. A leisurely dinner was perfect and service excellent, as was breakfast. Rooms were also...well appointed, comfortable with excellent attention to every detail (except no bathrobes and a couple of blown lamp bulbs). The town is delightful and less touristy that many in the Cotswolds. We will certainly return.

even through the front door of this immaculately designed restaurants they walk a feeling of calm excitement for what lies ahead. going inside, this must be one of the best, perfect lighting and beautiful artworks are the scenes for a...charming environment dining experience. we started with the house margarita, which was ice cold and tasty, and then moved to an excellent maçon chardonnay. my starter was a taste feeling based on one of my favorite seasonal vegetables jerusalem artichoke, and it was followed with another vegetarian joy, for my main thing, it was nothing left! all in all, we had a wonderful and very elevated culinary experience in a very sweet cotswolds village quite a beautif...

A really nice restaurant with friendly staff. Have been here a number of times before with no complaints. Food wise very good but their recently introduced summer menu (particularly on a Sunday) is a little uninspiring. Rather than their normal Sunday lunch offerings namely roast beef , roast pork etc with all the trimmings they have moved to steaks and BBQ. Surprisingly they still have roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings available but with a steak….not really! Heard a number of negative comments from other diners when we were there so hopefully the restaurant will quickly pick up on this and revert to their standard offerings.
