"How fabulous to be able to come to the Boycott and dine inside again. It was lovely to be able to dine al fresco but the British weather doesn't always lend itself to a fantastic meal but on Friday we were given an amazing treat. My hubby and I both ordered the Cajun Chicken (extra spicy) and they were both truly wonderful, the chicken was so white and moist but the Cajun marinade was beyond belief and the hand cut chips are fantastic. There is a one way in and one way out system. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Test and Trace posters and the staff all wore masks. We felt totally safe and can't wait to return."

I am thrilled to have returned! The food was exceptional, the staff was friendly, and everything was well-coordinated. I must also highlight the wonderful new outdoor seating area - we are eager to enjoy summer nights there.

We had a Carvery for a party of 22, to celebrate my Aunt’s 93rd Birthday The food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend The Boycott Arms to anyone looking for a quaint Country pub with an excellent service.

I was dining with someone who requires gluten-free options, so we were limited to just ordering chips at this restaurant. It would be great if they could offer more gluten-free meal options and drinks such as beer or wine. Despite this, we still enjoyed our visit and hope that other Talbot motorhome visitors will have a great experience at the pub as well.

We returned to the restaurant for Sunday lunch after a year. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. Despite being late, we had a reservation and were still expected. The food was not up to par - the beef was inedible, the carrots were frozen, the mash was tough, and the broccoli was watery and mushy. There were also no roast potatoes available. It's a shame because the setting and decor are lovely and have improved since our last visit. It may be some time before we decide to return.

Having stayed in for quite a while due to covid.. we decided to venture to the best carvery/Sunday lunch in the area yesterday. Its not often lamb is on the menu elsewhere so we opted for it. It was amazing.. melted in your mouth and plenty of it. The veg was perfectly cooked and the home made Yorkshire puddings were lovely. We both ordered desserts which were piping hot with a good serving of custard. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Absolute 5 star food with 5 star service!! The staff were all friendly helpful and worked so hard and all covid rules being adhered to.. it was a pleasure to visit.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
