Just passing and the food smelt nice so decided to call in .absolutely gorgeous food and loads of it and a very reasonable price

Sunday lunch is excellent, but book ahead. Loved the sticky toffee pudding and custard, plenty of everything sponge toffee sauce and custard. Very friendly staff and locals if I lived nearby it would by my local. View menu

Such a warm and friendly welcome from the staff and the locals. The food is AMAZING, accidental drop in for lunch had us return for breakfast the next day, evening meal the following day and a breakfast to send us on our way home our last day. Seriously! If you fancy a drive out, it really is worth it.... Dog friendly, too..

We stayed at Ruswarp Hall down the road. We arrived on a Monday evening and were starving after our drive up! We walked in and found the atmosphere very cosy, there were Halloween decorations up and not many people inside. I had fish and chips, my partner had cheeseburger. The portions were huge and the food was a bit on the pricey side, but the service was faultless.

They have a great selection of local ales and gins, and the atmosphere is welcoming with friendly locals. The hot meat sub with chunky chips and gravy is a must-try.
