"My partner and I have been frequenting this restaurant and we absolutely love it. The food is amazing, especially the Sunday Roasts. We even bring our dog Roux along and he enjoys the roast beef end cuts. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Sunday roast comes in different sizes to cater to different appetites, and they also offer a takeout option which I buy for my elderly mother and she loves it too. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back soon. The outdoor seating area offers a stunning view of the aqueduct, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Thank you to everyone at The Bridge Inn for a great time."

Over the weekend, we visited a nearby tourist spot and decided to have lunch at this restaurant by the canal. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was great, and the food was amazing. The lasagna was the best I've ever had. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We stopped by for food and some drinks while in our narrow boat holiday. We loved it so much we went back on our way back through. The food and drinks are great value for money, the pub is lovely and welcoming, the staff were all very friendly and we even won the quiz which was also brilliant!

We stayed at a campsite close to this place. The pub's flyers at the site say they serve food every day of the week. They don't. On Google,it says they open Tuesday at 2pm. They didn't. After many unanswered phone calls.we got someone on Thursday afternoon and tried to get a table for 2 anytime after 7pm. Were told they had a booking at 6.30 and wouldn't do food after that. We gave up and went to the nearby poachers instead even though the food and drink in there is less than great. Not exactly a great advert for the place. View menu

We went as a group for the Traps Christmas dinner offer and it was truly excellent. The table was decorated beautifully and festively, and all the food was homemade. The prawn cocktail starter was delicious with plenty of king prawns, and the main course of turkey with trimmings was very satisfying. The festive Eton mess dessert was a meal in itself! The landlord, Paul, joked that they don't do doggy bags, only suitcases. It was also great value for money. I highly recommend trying it out for yourselves, you won't be disappointed.

Spotted this pub while walking into Chirk and decided to stop in for a drink. Pub was packed which was great to see, they have 2 areas, one large area In the main bar then they also have a room opposite side of the bar. Pub is extremely dog friendly which was great to see. Good selection of real ales and lagers. Pub does food, the Sunday lunch looked amazing, proper home cooked food! Staff were super friendly and very efficient. Great location just up from the canals and on the way to viaduct. Will definitely visit the next time we’re in the area.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."

"Open since 1970 and located on Mardol, one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets @thecurryhouseshrewsbury serves locally sourced ingredients married with traditional spices and chillies from the Indian subcontinent, a match made in heaven. 5 5 Recommended Price No better way to kick off proceedings but with popadoms, chutneys and fresh onion salad. On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. Thank you for our invite to share the exciting menu created with passion and creativity.
