"Located in the middle of Driffied shopping centre, I had read a previous review praising the scones, so I decided to give this place a try. We were surprised to find that the restaurant was two flights of stairs up, but despite our age of 86, we managed to make it. Once seated, we found the atmosphere to be nice and light, and the decor was well appointed. My friend ordered the brunch, while I opted for the cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake. Both dishes were good, but my bake was quite large and nothing particularly special. Unfortunately, they were out of scones, so we shared a caramel shortcake, which was delicious but very rich. When I asked for it to be cut in half, the person in charge kindly provided us with two plates. The only downside was that the sauces and vinegar were in sachets, which were difficult to open, even the salt was."

I adore this restaurant, it's conveniently located for meeting friends and family. The meals are delicious and the food is great. The quiche and tea cake with cheese were delightful. The coffee is fantastic. I always feel at ease and comfortable here. View menu

Called here recently with my daughter.. had mushroom stroganoff, it was a small portion and seemed to be. Mushrooms with slightly flavoured rice, it was tasty but no stroganoff sauce, we had a breakfast too but the portions were much smaller than normal.

I visited Cafe Leon recently and thought the Cafe to be nicely furnished and decorated, the lady who served me to be pleasant and the food to be nice. But what I don't find acceptable and rather unhygienic, especially during covid, is to be able to help oneself to cutlery and condiments!

From the outside, there is nothing to suggest the size and style of this cafe as it is upstairs. The chandeliers are grand as are the floor tiles and it's pleasant watching the world (of Driffield) go by from a window seat as it's right in the centre of town. Service is good as was the coffee and toasted currant teacake. Relaxed atmosphere. View menu

The decor of the cafe was lovely and staff were friendly but the quality of the food we ordered was poor. I chose a cheese pickle sandwich as there was no egg mayo available and my husband chose the chicken mayo. Both was served on average medium sliced bread-would have expected bloomer considering we were paying over £4…..the cheese was tasteless so I may as well have ordered a pickle sandwich…..should have gone to the bakers opposite!

This cafe in Driffield is a must-visit for lunch. It is clean, bright, serves good and hot food, has friendly staff, and always offers a warm welcome. We visited on a busy market day (Thursdays) but were able to find a table without much of a wait for our food. The cafe only accepts cash payments, so be sure to come prepared. Located above the post office, it may not be very obvious, but keep an eye out for the "A" board on the street. You won't be disappointed!
