"After a pleasant afternoon wandering through Portobello Rd and its market, we decided to stop by this pub for a drink. In the end we decided to stay a little longer than planned, and ordered some food. The menu is great, not too long, but covering many of the pub classics. We ordered the chicken pie, sausage and mash, and the cheeseburger. All good. The service was swift and friendly a special mention for our host with the pink shirt sorry we didn’t catch your name! It’s good that you can just do a walk in here, but we might just book next time to make sure we get a table!"

I went here with my family and the food was DELICIOUS, everything was SO TASTY and just the right portion!! The staff was so sweet and the vibe so chill. We had all enjoyed our time there and will definitely return to this lovely place!!

We came with the family in the heart of Portobello Market and we stopped at The Castle. Really friendly staff, the food quality was amazing, the best fish and chips i've had so far!!! Ambiance really nice and the place was clean! Totally recomend and definitely will come back!

the best sandwich I ever had. I usually prefer the first-class cheeseburger and plus speck, but honestly, the balance between the meerrettich sauce and the exquisite tabak is just swirling. highly recommended, plus on a side note, a sandwich and a pint for £11.5 thanks to their amazing deal.

Looking for a quick rest and a drink, we stopped at the Castle. The staff are rude and not friendly. We were a party of 4 and did not believe my sons ID was real and it is. Ordered a round of drinks and some water, took forever. Bathrooms were gross with no toilet paper. Skip this pub and walk on to the next.

like não amar um public inglês typical que, no meio do mercado portbello, allows us to ingerir peixes e batatas fritas bem feitas, com um atmosphere muito anima e serviço amigável e efficient? é que nem os banheiros escapeam do escrutinio e também passaram com distinção. o peixe (um fillte fresh and flavorful) e as batatas foram muito bons e a maionese com pickles small pedaços um deleite!
