DO NOT EAT THERE! Terrible service, super rude waitress. The food was bad... full of dough and super greasy, not even the simplest things like some 'chips ' were good.

My friend and I had a lovely lunch today, Shirley was a fantastic waitress, she was there when we needed her but she didn't hover. I would highly recommend lunch at the castle, and you should ask to be seated in Shirley's section!

It was warmer than I was expecting but I am not super sure that isn’t more common across the pond. It was a hot 90 degree day so thank goodness I had my little handheld fan. That aside the food was good. Had the fish and chips which was well seasoned and a good size portion. The other person in my party had a cheese burger which he described as okay. Amazing food. We took the chicken schnitzel, fish and chips and the cheeseburger. All 3 of these plates tasted wonderful. The portions were very big, we even had some leftovers. It was great. The prices are good as well for the location. If you sit near the window across the bar, you get a view of the iconic blue door from the Notting Hill movie. Nice service, very friendly people working. Would come again 100%! Recommend

It was amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. We ordered 2 fish and chips, and the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The portion size was good too. We also got a sourdough with Camembert, which was incredibly tasty and the bread was excellent. Despite the restaurant being full and a line out the door, everything came out in a reasonable amount of time thanks to the efficient staff. They did a great job.

Never go after looking at the rating. This seems like the typical employee personality, but it makes me feel bad for no reason. They waited for my order without any additional explanation, and then they talked among themselves and barely took my order, but when I ordered coffee, they just said no. Why do I want to do this when they say it can't be done without even explaining it? I drank it all and was talking, but then he took the cup and slammed it, ruining my mood for the day.
