"would not recommend this place. my friend and I had an event to halloween floorless drinks, pizza and a live band booked. When we arrived, we couldn't get in and I was cleaning up the place, but no answer. At some point one found a back door that we could get through, but there were no signs that point us in this direction. When we came in, we were told that they had not sold enough tickets to stay through the sitting ass, and the band will not begin until my friend and I was going to end plans for after our session so that we would not see the band if we canceled our plans and stayed. the drinks were good! I stayed at the prosecco as the pornstar martini was too sweet for me, but my friend really liked the espresso martini. toilets cubiken locked, no looting, and so dark I had to use my phone burners while I was in there. my friend is a vegetarian and we were only advertised with pfefferoni pizza, not offered the vegan margarita. the pizza tasted good, but there was a hair on the teller, so it sent back. it didn't feel like a floorless pizza, they just came and gave you one when they felt that way, so we had only the band was out from the beginning and was really nice."

Our regular stop on Friday after work. Always greeted by friendly faces. The pizzas are a great addition to the menu. We’ll be back soon.

TCB do amazing burgers, and midweek there is a discount off food. Clean, great atmosphere, and really friendly and polite. All felt safe, and highly recommend!

Lovely cosy pub. The food is substantial and definitely home cooked. I can recommend the very tasty nachos and the cheese burger. The pints are cold and they have a great selection of ale and lager to choose from. Do pay them a visit.

Such lovely people behind the bar! The landlord is really friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. Was served by a lady called jess throughout one of our nights. She's an asset to the team so lovely and chatty. Made my partner and myself...feel very welcome. This place has now became our regular. We feel so comfortable in there and the service is outstanding. Would highly recommend.

We hired out a small area within TCB to host a baby shower and it was wonderful! Trav and the team couldn’t be more accommodating of our requests. Communication from start to finish was fantastic. The drink selection was brilliant and the guys on the...bar looked after us so well. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to host a get together! Thanks guys we loved it :

Noticed the name change on the outside before the first of a couple of visits. Friendly greeting from the staff and quick and efficient service. Not a great choice of beers but there were a couple. Ate once when I had Scampi and fries. Very...think chips and hard breaded Scampi with a dip. Appeared to have been a microwaved meal. Not brilliant but inexpensive and filled a gap. Wife had something different but seemed microwaved as well. not a bad place to spend some time, we try to sit at the window looking out onto the main road.

I'm sorry. we had a work here, followed by a meal. there we were. at the arrival trav had set up the room for the meeting as it was specified in my email. we had not asked him to do this. which was very appreciated. he had put on coffee and tee, he ran out and took milk and cookies without murmel! we all sat for our meal. the service was seamless. the food abundant and tasty. everyone said how beautiful it was and at a great price. some of the group had not yet been at tcb, but said they would return definitiw. a great thank you to trav and his great team! from the Brookview team. you did a great job and went beyond and beyond.

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
