"We rang at lunchtime after having a booking cancelled on us last minute for a pre-wedding meal. The staff were so accommodating and managed to fit us in even though they were visably very busy when we arrived. The food arrived very promptly and it was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had out. The service was absolutely amazing too! The bouncy castle and outdoor play area kept the youngsters amused while the adults could socialise. I come here often for a drink and social meetings but today has just proved that this pub will go above and beyond. I cannot fault them on a single thing!"

Went here for lunch today whilst visiting family in the area. Food was of excellent quality and value and generous portions. Service was also excellent and friendly staff. Would definitely go again View menu

We have now tried the senior menu at this restaurant twice and once again we found it to be delicious and a great deal for the price. Despite being very busy, the waitstaff were quick, efficient, and friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you.

We used to enjoy the Sunday lunches at this restaurant, but the last two visits have been disappointing. The food was cold, the meat was overcooked, and we experienced long wait times. Despite giving it another chance after a previous disappointing Sunday roast, our most recent visit yielded the same poor results. It appears that there may have been a change in chef or a decrease in food quality. We do not plan on returning in the future.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant. They do not follow the standard Greene King menu, but rather create their own unique dishes which are executed very well. The steak and ale pie was delicious, generous in portion size, and filled with ample meat. The prices are reasonable, despite the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill. The landlord and staff were all friendly, making the overall dining experience worth the extra charge. We plan to return in the future. View menu

Pleasantly surprised by the food and service we received today. Warmly greeted on our arrival, shown to our table. We chose the pensioners menu, were not expecting too much due to the very low prices, wow were we surprised. We had a three course lunch, everything was hot and well presented and delicious. Very good portions and quality. A pint of beer and glass of wine topped off our meal all for £29. Tables cleaned down thoroughly after use. Could not fault, will certainly return soon.

Twenty one of us went from the Littleport Badminton Club. All of us were most impressed with the whole experience! From the friendly staff, the quick service, and above all, the standard of food! It was hot, tasty, from starter to dessert! The Christmas Party menu, three lovely courses for £22.95pp! We all thoroughly recommend The Cherry Tree, where many of us also go during the week, when seniors can get an excellent three course meal for under £10! Well done, all you hard working staff!

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
