"This place was heaving on a Wednesday evening, probably because there are so very few places in Scotland to eat out? Menu reads well with some interesting options. Service was good. The ubiquitous Haggis Bonbons were OK but weirdly sat on an Asian-Flavoured slaw of some sort, Steak Stroganoff with rice was creamy pleasant, but Crispy Chicken stir-fry was so overloaded with (bottled? sweet sour sauce that it was almost inedible. Perhaps stick to standard dishes if you eat here?"

"What a great night out. Thanks to Noor and Ahad of the Nazma. Food always great accompanied with excellent service and well worth the trip to Ellon. Gutted when Bridge street Nazma closed as I'd been a customer over 25 years nearly every week andostly twice a week. A photo of a memory added Kid friendliness: Noor and Ahad always been kid friendly, my son started sucking on poppadoms, moved to nuggets with curry sauce had the whole class invited for birthday meal even had a magician lunchtime, kids made a mess as they would, but all taken as great fun fir the kids and attentive, interactive all the time. He is now 10 and still asks for Nazma and eats vindaloo adult size meals. Thank you Nazma. "The service here is outstanding. It's clear that everyone at Meat Monsters is passionate about their work. Alistair (I believe he’s the "Monster in Chief") was particularly enthusiastic and engaging, explaining the sauces, sharing insights about their craft, and even giving us hot sauce taste tests. His dedication shines through, and I genuinely hope the business continues to thrive! If you're considering a visit, I highly recommend it. There’s plenty of space between the tables, you can order food to your liking, and the staff all wore masks for customers' safety. This is a very special place, and we will definitely be back!"

"Discovered this delight in deepest Aberdeenshire when doing a house renovation in the area. Returned with my elderly and frail father, son and granddaughter for a family Sunday lunch. Location is just off the main road, far enough to be safe and quiet for kids to be outside. Menu is limited in size, but still interesting, a beef bolignion, served as shepherd's pie took Dads fancy, wife a quiche, beef burger and Kim chicken for me, chicken burger for DiL, a Moroccan lamb meatball for son and veg soup for the wee one. Everything was cooked great, seasoned well, a good portion size, not the extremes sometimes faced with. V small potato toasties were a standout, sweet potato chips a fail, soggy and why bother? Coffees all round were brilliant, the flat white has a real kick, cakes to go a treat. Service exemplary, immaculately clean, easy access for Dad on a zimmer. Brilliant and we will return"

"I was visiting the geese etc at Haddo estate with my grandchildren yesterday for the first time. Popped into Mrs Smith's for a light lunch. The staff were lovely and very efficient at taking the orders. the mushroom soup was delicious but the caramelised onion and cheese scones were so amazing that I bought another 2 to take home to Edinburgh. I spoke to the manager yesterday and said there and then how wonderful the food was and very reasonably priced too."
