"Called in a few weeks ago. We were visitors to the area, and with our greyhound. The cafe was full at the time. So on suggesting we would take a short walk around the town, they stated that they would reserve a table when one became available. So glad they did. Great coffee to accompany our soup and sandwich selection. I also tried a ginger and pear scone out of curiosity. Spot on. Thank you to all the staff, friendly and excellent. And thank you for Jessie our greyhound . And thank you to all the other customers. All of them were very pleasant too. Especially the local older man on the adjacent table. He was a regular we believe. All the very best for the future. Thanks again.: "

Lovely people, food is amazing since I was 14, not often you can sit watch the world go by and have a mountain out the corner of your eye, we go on a regular basis and will continue to do so.

Got there just when they nearly closed. So accommodating opened kitchen back up and made us food. Had some home made Tea Loaf afterwards which was so lovely and moist. A big thank you to the staff.

The gluten-free scones were delicious, as was the bread roll. Our main dishes were tasty and generously portioned. The homemade coleslaw was fantastic. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and they even allow dogs.

An absolutely lovely little cafe! We had Cajun chicken sandwich, mushroom soup, fruit scone and carrot cake and everything was really nice. The staff were lovely too and as it was my birthday they even brought out a piece of cake with a candle and sang happy birthday! Would recommend to anyone looking for homemade food at reasonable prices.

It might have been the most welcoming place I've ever been! We, a family of four and a large dog, turned up on a cold spring late for lunch, covered in mud after a walk in the High Force. The dog was greeted with some biscuits and water, and we were offered many suggestions of yummy delights. Specials were interesting South African curry which my husband enjoyed and I had a Tee's Pot pie. We were full after a full lunch and dessert but took some savoury and sweet scones back to our accomodation. Thoroughly enjoyed.

This cafe is beautifully located with friendly staff, delicious food at affordable prices, and generous portion sizes. I appreciated the extra touches they added to my meal, such as accommodating my picky eating habits and offering to refill my pot of tea. The fact that they are dog-friendly was a bonus, and I loved that they offered a mix of white and brown options. I left a small tip for the team, who were appreciative. I highly recommend this cafe and will definitely return in the future. It's a great place to stop if you're planning to visit High Force nearby. Thank you to everyone involved.

"started really well and went to the counter and ordered a cream with bananas and nutella and especially gave no earthberries I also asked after a san pelegríno still water as this was on the menu. I was the first person to order and the last to eat at the end. I brought my water over which was a cheaper brand water I just had £2 for what I would like to have seen? we will, when asked for san pelligrino to say water that they do not in. Finally my crepe and I take a bite and understand that it is earthly on the whole species and wise by which I am allergic. one of my family members takes it back and says that I have asked for bananas, there is no earthly reason why I cannot eat it and did not want it on my crepe. then 5 minutes later another crêpe comes out, who was my bite crêpe, that someone had put the earthy and banan in the bananas. disgusting ... not sure whether this was a mistake or just stingy either as it did not. it is then returned because there is no way I eat, and it is explained again, there is a reason that I can not eat strawberries, to which then one of the owners passes to serve the right crepe and apology. I really hope that today a lection has been learned because cross-contamination is not a sweat. please be careful when they eat there. I didn't get any refunds offered, but then they were ready to serve me a bite crawl, so it didn't surprise me so much."
