"Was visiting after several years for a pre-theatre meal because I love their menu and wine selections. Felt the prices were higher than what they used to be but that is true for most other eateries. We enjoyed our small plates except that both my friend and I (independently) thought the oil was off (rancid) in one of our selections. We sent some of it back for a taste in the kitchen but they declared that it was fine! I still maintain that I trust my taste buds and I like this establishment too much to ding it for a one-off disagreement. I would just like to say that if it was in the US the customer would have been right!"

Great staff, lovely wine. Perfect evening. We’ll be back when we are next in London. The Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon was incredible,

I don't understand the high rating for this placeFirst off, it smells like a cat litter box in the entire placeThe wine they have is not good.

Great place down a side street. Almost didn't notice but glad we came to inspect. Quiet and cozy, was a perfect place for dinner and dessert. View menu

Perfect from the moment we set foot in the establishment. Great service, fantastic food and a lovely wine selection. We will be using this as our pre-theatre restaurant on every visit in future. Hidden Gem

Fabulous lunch, delicious food, amazing wine recommendations and the absolute star of our visit was Junior, the manager. He was so knowledgeable, so much fun and we enjoyed ourselves so much we rebooked to go back in the evening after our theater visit. Thank you so much for an amazing time

What a little oasis in an otherwise touristy, chain led restaurants area. We booked at 5pm for a leisurely pre theatre supper and enjoyed the cosy, candle lit cellar atmosphere. Staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful and food very tasty and well priced. Wine selection was huge with many recommendations (as you would expect from a wine bar! plus there is a tempting event calendar throughout the year for wine enthusiasts. We will definitely be back! Cork Bottle stole my heart years ago and every time I visit London I visit C B too. That will never change. However, last night, when I took my son there for dinner, I was rather shocked by the noise. It was a very busy evening and guests were talking/shouting so loud that it was virtually impossible to have a conversation or to get across your order. Never noticed the acoustics is so dreadful (and the visitors so loud). I was glad when I left and that is a sensation I never had before at this lovely place.

Arrived for lunch at 2.30 and the place was v quiet. The sole member of staff behind the bar was very pleasant and helpful throughout. Main course of the famous ham and cheese pie was very tasty but as it was chock full of fat and salt so it should be! The real disappointment was the cheese course: one small sliver of the Epoisses and 4 wafer thin slices of Tomme de Savoi for £15 did not represent good value. Both were also a bit dried out and lacking flavour. The recommended wines by the glass were ok- I would have expected a bit more quality form such a well established place.
