"Had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The staff was happy to share the origin and history of the old cotton mill. I was sold as soon as I walked in and saw the tribute to our American and the small container of toy soldiers asking each person to take one. The building is amazing including a bourbon bar and eclectic decor. I had an appetizer of fries made in truffle oil and then a specialty of scallops and steak medallions. I definitely recommend this gem The restaurant opened at and I had a few minutes to snap some pictures of the square."

Hit and miss, travel from Salisbury as I have had wonderful meal Get their pan fried, nut crusted salmon there but often the next time I get it may be may just be okay'. Charming atmosphere but almost too loud.

just back from a cracking meal in the eckcafé! excellent service and price-quality ratio, eating was amazing and personal was great with my 3 year old! I hope the locals make the best of it so that it continues to have great, good food and wee in front of our doorstep!

A fine supper of grilled shrimp and red skinned mashed potatoes. (Everyone's choice at the table Didn't wait terribly long for food which was nice. The atmosphere is loud. Two of our party are hearing impaired so that was a bit tough on them but the food is worth it. If you're looking for a cozy, quiet spot, this is not it. But for excellent food and a festive setting, this is a great choice!

My family and I made reservations to go to the New Years Eve celebration and I was so excited to finally be able to go there. What a major disappointment. We got there at and didn't get our food until We had to hurry and eat because the next group at were coming in. I ordered the prime rib, medium rare. My steak was all red. It looked like they were in a hurry , took it out of the package , microwaved it and served it to me. The restaurant itself was nice inside but they fall short with their service.

"We were a party of 5, on a cold, very wet Saturday evening, coldest so far I would say! We drew up and saw a young family of 3 sitting with jackets on in the conservatory area, we were a bit concerned! We took a...seat at the back of the conservatory which proved to be a big mistake! There was a terrible draught coming from behind me, I did mention it and was told it was 27c at the middle of the room, but not where we were sitting!! I mentioned it a few times and sat with my shawl scarf on throughout! I pulled down the window blinds hoping that would help, nope!! We ordered our food, I asked about a vegetarian option for my husband, our waitress did say he could a veggie option on the curry and the tempura or risotto, which was helpful! I had to ask what was the soup of the day and also the pate!! I did feel that maybe in this day and age there should have been a small dedicated vegetarian area on the menu, but that’s just my opinion! 3 of our party had starters which were great, Cullen skink, scallops and langoustine tempura, Main courses arrived, 3 fish and chips, one lemon soul and one veggie tempura, all were excellent except for the veggie tempura which was large shards of onion and carrot in an albeit lovely batter, but not all vegetarians like huge chunks of vegetables! 4 of our party had a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was plentiful! Overall we had a pleasant meal, little or no atmosphere though, one of the younger waitresses (white shirt, black skirt) was friendly and more talkative, the waitress (dressed all in black)who served us was, we all felt a little disinterested and lacked any empathy with the guests! We asked for our bill, the youngest waitress came with the card machine and felt how cold it was only then did she check the windows to find there was one opened, hence the draught, which spoiled our visit because we were felling it cold!! We paid the bill and left a tip on the plate, no one came to say thank you for you custom, or have a nice evening, nothing!! All in all it was pretty inhospitable! Value you for money, it was good for the standard of the food!"
