"Superb staff welcome and super friendly. They explained the menus and checked for any foodo op allergy’s which was appreciated. The drinks arrived quickly while we were considering the food menu and the staff gave us plenty of time to make our choices. Starters we generous and beautifully presented, tasty and colourful. Mains again were great, Pork Belly with scallops and black pudding, Chicken Milanese and Crab Fishcakes all presented perfectly. With room for deserts the Eton Mess and Lemon Meringue Baked Alaska were more than plentiful. We will certainly return and recommend it to anyone who enjoys great food and super service."

The food was good. The service was good even though the restaurant was very busy. I would highly recommend. The was what we expected and well worth it

was able to be seated before allocated slot, staff were attentive but not overly so. Food ordered was excellent. Both my husband and I ordered different items off the menu and neither of us had a complaint.

Excellent food, good wine and decent cask ales together with great service makes this lovely local pub one of the best I have been to in many years. A 3 course superb dinner for 4 with pre dinner drinks and wine came to less than £160. The Tiramisu was to die for! Well worth a visit.

Lovely atmosphere with lots of people relaxing and having a nice time. Decor is wonderful and just what you’d expect from a country pub. Staff were very helpful and our waitress was both very efficient and interactive adding to the dining experience. Quality of the food was amazing, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Even though some of our group were slightly late, the maître d' gave a warm welcome. Our waitress was par excellence. Unfortunately, we didn't ask her name; she is tall and slim with mid length brown hair and a classically beautiful visage. Nothing was too much trouble, and she happily agreed to accommodate our request to be moved from the set table inside to a table al fresco. Moreover, the food was delicious!

Had a fantastic meal to celebrate my daughter's 22nd birthday. We have dined here a few times before so is a returning visit. Staff very attentive. I am not sure who we had serving us but was knowledgeable and courteous. Had a voucher for a birthday bottle of Prosecco which my daughter was able to bring home. There was 6 of us dining. my only small criticism was we could have been on a slightly larger table but this did not by any means spoil the evening. A perfect birthday celebration...Thank you
