"We went for a birthday celebration which was very pleasant. Unfortunately it was just after Christmas and New Year, 2nd Jan, so a lot of the food we originally wanted to order wasn't available, no ham, only one hunters chicken, no triple fried chips, no mash only one choice of pizza. I do feel a pub of this size should have catered for this event happening. However, the food we did have was excellant as were the staff and the ambience of the pub. Would still recommend. Would like to see more vegetarian dishes available."

I was unsure about going to The Crown after reading other reviews, but decided to take a chance and I am very glad I did. The service was excellent and the food was top-notch for a pub/restaurant.

we met friends for Sunday dinner and it was very good! eating and service were all great, amazing worth, it was really quiet when we were there around the half 12 to the half 1 it was teaming and all the tables were busy. it was a nice atmosphere, small rooms with two or three tables, so it was cozy. in summer the garden would be great, and a location next to the river was also beautiful. We gathered with friends for Sunday lunch at this restaurant, and it was fantastic! The food and service were excellent, and it was great value for money. When we arrived at 12:30, it was very quiet, but by 1:30 it was bustling and all tables were occupied. The atmosphere was lovely, with small rooms containing two or three tables, creating a cozy feel. In the summer, the garden would be a great place to dine, and the location next to the river was also charming.
