"Went here for my first experience of an afternoon tea and what an experience it was.We went for the vegetarian option with tea expecting it to just be plain and boring but how wrong we were. The sandwiches were and I mean this incredibleSoft, tasty and moreish I couldn't resist accepting a the offer for more, yes they offer you more!!The tea selection was also incredible and described each tea in detail and again they offered refills! The cakes you guessed it were incredible, warm scones and fresh cream and jam, soft cupcakes and zesty lemon bites i was utterly blown away mentally and physically so when they asked us if we wanted more cakes as well I painfully had to decline! The setting was beautiful, warm and cozyClean areas and very polite staff no matter your background. It truly transports you into a world you see on films and TV and makes you if only for an hour or two feel like true royaltyIt also has all the wheelchair access you need as well as clean toilets and fresh outdoor areas. Bog free car park aswellThis is to date the best place I've eaten at and I cant stop recommending it. I hold everything in comparrison to here now and in a way its made me realise how much improvement can happen in other places. If I had to pick on one thing to improve and this isn't even that big of a deal it would be to have some coat racks/areas they may already have this option but I didnt ask)Will 100% be doing this again I can't stress how worth the money it is for the afternoon tea"

Great quality food. A few cost saving cut backs. Minor things no olives on arrival and no chocolate with the bill but other than that great meal, fab service and lovey setting.

We were somewhat let down during our recent visit to the restaurant. We ordered a Pernod pre-dinner drink, but it was a yellow color instead of the expected off-white and tasted odd. It was replaced for us. The main meal was excellent. However, when we ordered the cheese board for dessert, we were disappointed by the small portion size considering the price. We have dined at this restaurant many times in the past and have always been satisfied, but this time we were slightly disappointed.

Had a wonderful celebratory dinner here tonight. The restaurant is lovely and cosy inside, with tables well spread out. There are proper white table clothes which makes it feel just that little more special. There was a 3 course meal for £34 with about 5 choices for each course. The smoked salmon starter was delicious and I understand the cheese tart was also very tasty! We had the fish and beef mains and both were a good serving size and tasty. Dessert was also pleasant. We were given lovely little shortbread biscuits with our coffee which was a nice touch. I was given a beautiful birthday card by the restaurant which was a very nice gesture! The waitresses were all lovely and service was g...

"Visited early this afternoon for a lunch date with my husband, we were both very impressed with our visit and would return in future. We both had a starter and a main, portion sizes were generous and the food itself was delicious. The pub was very quiet for a Saturday afternoon but it was nice and quiet, although we did feel sorry for the lady behind the bar who was not only serving behind the bar but also taking food orders and waiting on tables she did a fab job despite being swept off her feet. We were going to indulge in a pudding however chose not to as there wasn’t a vegetarian ice cream dessert option (only a rocky road sundae, not veggie), so would love to see a vegetarian ice cream option in the future. Would love to bring our daughter another time to try the kids menu. Looking forward to another visit and would recommend to others for a meal out! Vegetarian options: Plenty of starter and main menu choices for vegetarian I struggled to choose what to have from all the available options! Lots of veggie desserts however would have been nice to see a veggie ice cream sundae on the menu. Parking: Couldn’t find any disabled spaces in the car park but it was luckily really quiet, only about 2/3 more cars in the car park which was lucky. Kid friendliness: Kids menu and high chairs available Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"
