Great pub lovely staff and fantastic Chinese would highly recommend

Great food, great beer, great staff, great atmosphere. Dog friendly too! Really clean! What’s not to like? Highly recommended.

My wife and I really enjoyed our evening at The Duke. Very welcoming atmosphere. Great food and ale too. We loved the live music by Horizon.

Generally a good pub. Unexpectedly large space at the back for bands etc. The food smelt amazing but I didn't have any. I was shocked at how expensive the non alcoholic drinks were.

How this place was voted number 1 pub in Marlow is a mystery.Visited early morning and toilets were disgusting,skid marks on toilets had obviously not been cleaned from the previous evening. Visit at your peril.

Decided to have a good wander around Marlow whilst property hunting, dropped in on this place and decided to have some drinks. Looks great from the outside, walked in and were soon seated. Appreciate it is a pub, but when we asked for a coffee as part of our round of drinks, this was met with a firm no. TBH the place needs a good clean. The table was sticky, there was a hole in the ceiling, cobwebs over the windows and the toilets just stank of paint.

We ordered a takeaway for the family on Thursday evening… it was available to pick up, at 20 minutes notice… The starters were good and we especially liked the house special garlic ribs… The dry shredded chilli beef was not very crispy, maybe it should be served separately to the sauce? However the chicken balls, served in a paper bag, with separate sauce, were very crispy; just like the old days…. Dishes had a reasonable amount of spice/chilli which was good, esp the Singapore noodles… Will we order again? Yes…

Lovely pub located in a peaceful residential area of Marlow. Nice and clean. Prompt service. Spacious outside sitting area with interesting features and pictures, tasteful and slightly retro design which I liked. A pleasant surprise to see framed flyers, posters and relics of historic music events which keep you interested. The owner must have a good taste in music. Absolutely fabulous Chinese food which we all enjoyed while sitting outside. Perfect partnership of a pub and Chinese food. It was a very pleasant surprise to visit this pub and I hope to return again one day.

We had read good reviews about this place so thought we would go for a pint before a family lunch. Admittedly it was at midday on a Sunday, but the place looked like it had closed on Saturday and someone had pitched up bang on midday on the Sunday. The ashtrays were still over flowing from the night before, the floor was filthy, there was glass on the floor in the toilet, as well as tissues on the floor. The tables were still dirty from the day before. And yet somehow the beer was good. Used to be nice years ago so we gave it a go again after some nice comments on ‘Positively Marlow’ but it doesn’t look like the cleaners had been in since then. Maybe don’t open Sunday if that is all the effo...
