"Went to Morecambe on a bracing day, it's fair to say. The wind was whipping up off the sea at a fairly brisk pace. Sideways. The wind chill was down to a level that Sir Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes might have thought twice about venturing out in. It was rough. A lone Labrador dashed into the sea chasing something or other and looked backed to his owner, shaking his head. The owner was shaking his head, not the dog. No human was venturing into the brine that day, not one that wanted to live anyway. Something was needed to warm the cockles, so to speak. And off we jolly well popped to The Eric Bartholomew for a warm. Two traditional breakfasts were ordered and our penchant for poached eggs rather than fried was accepted without a quibble. A good job really, I didn't have my quibble with me. The desperately needed coffee was quickly quaffed to get some much needed heat into the system... The breakfasts arrived in good time and were really rather good. Toast was toasted, bacon was cooked and all in all we had no complaints at all. A second coffee washed down the meal and it was time to brace the arctic air that was still howling across the bay. It was an awful day, really rather grim, the apocalypse on the west coast. The end of the world indeed, but on a full stomach."

Three of us all had fish and chips. The batter was dark brown, fish was over cooked, and the mushy peas had stuck together. Won’t be going back.

We have been here a few times before and it was just as good as ever. Served on warm plates, our fish and chips was delicious. A great choice of menu. Easy ordering and good food service. Really good value too.

This is one of my regular ports of call when on holiday in Morecambe. It’s everything one comes to expect from a Wetherspoons pub. The food was good and the bar staff very friendly. Good range of regional real ales on pump.

This is one of the places that give Wetherspoons such a poor rep, nothing nice about it at all. It was around half full when we arrived, all the other customers were drinkers, at tables awash with whatever had been spilled. We went to the other side of the room but didn't order food, the tables were filthy and I couldn't face it.

Filthy!! We went late afternoon, only one clean table in the whole downstairs section When we sat there, the magazine was stuck to the dirty table and my shirt got done kind of sauce on it The menus we chose were all dirty and had sticky food on them We decided to leave there and then, if this was the state of front of house- god only knows what the kitchens were like Filthy, dirty carpets, tables, menus… yack !!!

There are not many places to eat in Morecambe and it was quite busy in here but we managed to find a table. I wished we had not bothered as the food was very average and the chips looked like they had been around for some time, whereas my chicken breast had bacon on it that looked like it had barely been cooked. I ate as much as I could stomach which was not a lot and left the rest. Ok to come here for a drink but the food was very average.

We found a lovely table by the fire downstairs. We ordered our drinks through the app, which said a wait of 5 minutes. After 15 minutes my partner got up to find them on a tray, which he brought back to the table. Shortly after we ordered drinks and food. My wine arrived in a gin glass, the glass wasn't an issue but the wine was drowned in lemonade. I stopped a staff member in a black shirt with lots of colour over it, he totally understood my complaint. Thank you for my glass of wine not drowned in lemonade. Our food was lovely and arrived promptly. Unfortunately, my partner had to get up again and find them, I also watched the table in front of us collecting their own drinks! Lovely staff,...

I know this is a spoons so was just looking for pub grub, but this is one of the worse meals I've ever had. I had chicken burger which was swimming in grease, first bite and all you could taste was dirty oil. My brother-in-laws double burger looked like Iceland's super value burgers at 10p a burger and not lying when he had 6 chips, wife's wings if you squeezed them the oil ran out them. It was later on in the night so I assuming the cleaner cooked this as it was disgusting. I have eaten in here numerous times in the past and never had cause to complain but it had been a while and I certainly wont be again which is a shame as I do normally like spoon's food but it seems to be going down hill...
