"I stopped by for a quick drink at this restaurant and was impressed by its beautiful exterior, fitting in perfectly with the sleepy historic village it is located in. The service from the young lady behind the bar was friendly. However, once inside, I was disappointed by the overly modern decor, with a poor attempt at a period look including 'distressed' wooden tables and chairs. The cask ale selection was half-hearted, and there was loud music coming from behind the bar. It's unfortunate that the modern makeover and management did not do justice to what could have been a lovely old pub. Disappointing experience overall."

The sound of the church clock chiming every fifteen minutes can be a bit exhausting, especially with the single glazed windows.

This is the top spot for beer in Dorchester! It's disappointing that they don't serve sandwiches for lunch, but they do have pizza available on the menu!

We visited this pub on a walk and we had a great time. It has a massive garden and two cask beers. My partner very much appreciated the female hygiene product in the bathroom. Would recommend for a visit!

The beer selection at this restaurant is exceptional, particularly for those who enjoy beers from the Purity brewery. Additionally, the interior of the pub has been beautifully redesigned following a change in management.

If you're looking to sample some English pies, this is the place to go. The steak and Stilton pie was absolutely delicious. Others in our group tried the steak and kidney pie and the plain steak pie, and all were equally good and authentically English. They also have a wide variety of draft ales, lagers, and ciders to choose from.

This historical hotel is charming and offers a great alternative to the more expensive White Hart down the street. The decor in the few rooms upstairs is lovely, with the Classic Double Room with Bath priced at around £90 including breakfast. The pub downstairs opens at 7:30pm and we had a fantastic dinner at The George Hotel nearby. The inn is conveniently located across from a beautiful historic Abbey. There is parking available behind the inn, although it may not be suitable for wider vehicles. Overall, Fleur De Lys Inn was exactly what we were looking for with its delightful history and quaint atmosphere.

"We usually love coming to Cafe Rouge in Henley, always a treat for us and we are always looking forward to it. However the most recent visit was awful and it’s been going downhill over our last coupes of visits. We booked a table for my father in laws birthday. Upon being seated, we were informed that 3 of the main course dishes were unavailable.. pretty much half of the ‘mains’ options. We don’t come to Cafe Rouge for Burgers or salad! We opted for 3 portions of Mussels as had them here before and they’re very good! Mother in law just had pate as there was nothing else she wanted. These were possibly the worst mussels we’ve ever had. You could tell they weren’t fresh (cooked from frozen for sure) and there was barely any sauce in the pot! Usually they are flavourful and abundant in sauce! No check back was performed by the manager on duty..it was a quiet Monday so wasn’t exactly run off his feet. So we couldn’t alert him. Even upon clearing we weren’t ask how our meal was! Just asked if we had finished. We decided to mention they were awful to which the manager told us he would inform the kitchen. When he came back to finish clearing, my partner asked if they were frozen or fresh mussels, to which the manager replied yes, they are frozen. Wasn’t expecting that but you could totally tell! They tasted like cardboard! We had a coffee and a pudding and to be fair to the manager he didn’t charge us for one portion of mussels and the coffees we ordered. The Bill was certainly not worth what we had. Didn’t leave a tip, which we never normally do, but the service was non existent. Manager was more interested in what was on his phone. Won’t be rushing back"
