Just happened to find this place by chance on the way to Chichester. Lovely friendly staff and great food. If I lived near I would definitely be going back for more

Took a couple of disabled gentlemen here for a drink. The service we received from the lady behind the bar was second to none. She made us feel so welcome and couldn't be more helpful. Great pub fantastic service thank you. Service: 5 Location: 5 View menu

We had booked for 4 of us at lunchtime. The pub was really busy but you could not fault the friendly service. The menu is extensive but if there was a criticism it was too varied and I think the quality of the food we had suffered. Good value. Service: 4 Hotel highlights: Great value

The Fox Inn is a charming pub with a fabulous menu and welcoming atmosphere. The dining experience is wonderful, with an extensive menu and daily specials. There is plenty of parking available, and the pub is beautifully decorated. I highly recommend it as the food is served piping hot and fresh.

Literally one of the best meals I have ever had! Service was absolutely perfect, food was incredible. First time visited for my Mum’s birthday and will definitely be back again. What a great find! My wife and I dropped in for lunch, having visited the nearby National Trust gardens. We received a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. A lovely menu, of which we were both tempted by several dishes. My wife had the vegetable burger and I the steak and ale pie. Great portions and beautifully cooked. Was nearly seduced by the dessert menu but was just too full! Will have to return to try it out!

Reserved table at 1.30pm. Food took 45 mins to arrive. Told the pie was chicken. When it finally arrived it was steak. Bit burnt on top. Liver and bacon dish: liver was tough. Fried mushrooms were cold inside. Ordered three hot drinks. Waited ages. Only two arrived. Clearly short staffed especially in kitchen and/or took too many bookings. Pub was cold. No heating on, just a fire nowhere near our table which wasn't enough on a chilly day. Miserable experience.

We had a lovely time at this charming and cozy pub with traditional beams. The service was very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. My wife ordered the hake with mushroom sauce (which was delicious, as I snuck a taste) and I made a great choice as well. The burgers we tried were quite substantial and packed with meat, something to keep in mind for next time. The menu offered a wide variety of options at very reasonable prices. We only had room for one course, but the desserts looked tempting. We hope to return soon. View menu
