The Golden Grove - Menu

A lovely pub serving some delicious food. Turned up on a bank holiday monday without booking but pleasantly surprised to get a table for lunch. The staff serving were good also. Hope to return again soon.

Very limited menu, not much for kids to eat. Only had 2 adult meals and 2 kids meal, 2 drinks and cost £60. No starter or pudding. Thought this was quite steep for what we had. Nice pub otherwise with play area in the garden.

Today 1730 went for a family meal, including young grandchildren and older puppy dog. Had a table in the beautiful garden, the playground for the children included. The whole experience was very good, excellent service to beautiful dishes, very good. View menu

When you leave Thorpe Park, don't join the queues. Book a table here (4 miles away). Sat outside in spacious back garden. Friendly staff, food was good plus piped music playing in background. Outdoor bar looked good for after Covid. No traffic either when we left!

fantastic experience. wonderful cocktails. sa in the sun and ate a golden grove burger. just raised. try the house made 'captains apple spiced splash' for a whole new mouth experience! it is like a cool christmas in a glass. highly recommended. ps love the fact that their music sounds good and is loud enough to school the plump.

As this is our local we go quite often but it’s been the first time this year. Glad to see the plastic baskets have gone but what ever they have done to the chips, please change back under cooked, flavourless, floppy chips. The scampi and chips was like something from Little Chef and not a gastro pub! The service and atmosphere was great but the food was disappointing ! Hopefully it was a one off!! View menu

Lovely outdoor space for those with children. Cheese burger and fish and chips were tasty. Children's portions could be bigger for older children not yet able to eat a full meal. Vegan burger was not nice eat only if you are vegan. Pudding menu is very small, so not much variety. Service is slow despite having waiters and runners. Runners seemed to be around more than waiters. But nice atmosphere to have a relaxing afternoon meal and drinks.

Amazing food and service, as always the staff was impeccable and so friendly. A few weeks ago we had Sunday dinners, which was beautiful, from the starters of the shrimp to the roast beef, it was nice. Dinner this evening the mouth was delicious. We ordered the sticky beef and the sausage and mash, neither disappointed, it was really stunning Highly recommended the Golden Grove, its a small jewel, thanks to the staff and cook for a wonderful evening, see again soon xxx #weloveasnug

Really disappointing. No ale on tap and poor bottled choice and a very, very limited menu of burger, burger or burger, not ideal if you don't want a burger! They were accommodating and did a chicken salad for me which was fine but did cost £17! I appreciate that they are opening limited hours but don't want wastage, but a less fried option would have been nice. The worst bit though was the table of blokes with a kid who got louder and louder and more offensive as the evening went on and the staff did nothing. At one point a fight nearly kicked off which was when we left! Won't be going back anytime soon. View menu
