"After reading some reviews, we chose to dine at this restaurant one evening. Our scallop starter was enjoyable, but the main course was disappointing. The fish seemed far from fresh, the chips tasted reheated, and even the peas lacked flavor. Perhaps the chef was off duty on a Monday? Additionally, the real ale was flat. While there are excellent dining options in Embleton, unfortunately, this restaurant does not meet that standard."

Cosy pub, good selection of real ales and excellent fish and chips and kipper cakes. Highly recommended.

Had a very tasty meal and made very welcome. Our dog was too and enjoyed his free biscuit and a nap in front of the fire. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I recently visited a charming pub in the village of Embleton called Sambuca Blue Bell. We were pleasantly surprised by how bustling it was. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to relax, people watch, and enjoy a meal. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Yesterday, four of us enjoyed a delightful meal at this restaurant. We all decided to try the pie, which was full of meaty, hot, and tasty filling. The chips were excellent and the peas were served hot. The prices were reasonable as well. Despite the limited menu options, I prefer having quality food over a vast selection of mediocre dishes.

We were a party of 7 staying near Embleton and needed food, I had seen The Grey's Inn mentioned on Trip Advisor and we decided to give it a try. We were a little disappointed that they had sold out of several of the items on the menu, but in was Sunday evening. The food that we did have was enjoyable and the service was good and friendly. Recommended.

Went on whim as we were road tripping around for a dog friendly pub. Such a cosey place, greeted by friendly staff and locals. Our staffy was more than welcome and made a fuss of which he liked. Owner was friendly and talkative. We had two pints of hand pull which was lovely. We ordered off the lunch menu and had two hot beef baguettes with chips. These were beautiful, will be returning.
