Came in for breakfast on 3rd. The food was cooked to a high standard, very quick service, and very friendly management. It was lovely and quiet, nice and clean. Will definitely be coming again for breakfast!

We are currently sat on table number 3 with our baby, and all we can hear is the new waitress moaning about anything and everything whenever she comes out of the kitchen and now she’s in the kitchen moaning about customers when we can hear...every word she is saying! Not good customer service.

I came into the Halcyon on the evening of 13th March… what can I say, the service was outstanding, the food was amazing, the staff and manager on shift were all friendly and welcoming, the pub was clean and tidy and I will definitely be...recommending that me and my friends return more frequently. the whole day worked and tired and hungry wait 45 minutes for pub life was not up. eating here in the rule for years is in order and my going into the pub, but food order was terrible meat burned, steak was rare, drinks were delayed and. to other international orders. ques were long and the employees themselves said they were two employees short. will not eat here again.

I dined at this restaurant a few years ago and decided to give it another try recently for a Sunday roast. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt and when offered a replacement, I declined. The vegetables were frozen and cold. The overall experience was lackluster and the meal did not meet my expectations. I would not recommend dining here again as the standards have clearly declined.

Table booked previously. One person on the floor bringing the meals out, he was busy, also trying to cover the walk ins and clearing tables. Sanitiser at door and tables wiped down after people leaving. However, food took ages to come out (I assume due...to only one person on the floor) when ours arrived, meat on the mixed grill was not even warm. The burger on another of our meals were burnt. I don't know what is happening with this restaurant. The interiors are dirty, glasses are not clean, there is lipstick on some of them, and there are dead plants and trash everywhere. The fencing is broken, and adults were playing football right next to where people were sitting outside in the sunshine. We had to grab our own drinks because the service was terrible and we waited 10-15 minutes without any help. This used to be our local spot, but it needs a major renovation. It seems like things have gone downhill since the management change. We will be going somewhere else next time.

Went with my 2 daughters and son in law to the Halcyon in Peterborough for lunch on 16th Feb 22, we ordered our choices however was told my first choice of main meal (big belter breakfast) was off the menu so I ordered my second...choice (fish n chips) was also off the menu.. so against my better judgement I reluctantly went for the lasagne.. the meals came, however, my lasagne was lukewarm as was my daughters and son in law's meals, they were cold by the time we got half way through eating them.. we were not impressed, especially since the pub was not actually thronging with people.. to add insult to injury their prices have spiked somewhat which left a bitter taste in our mouth.. on a posi...

I am at a loss for words. My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant, but we haven't been back recently due to health issues. What has happened here? The staff is rude, lazy, slow, and simply unprofessional. It is clear that the new manager is not setting a good example for the employees. Wearing jeans and a hoodie, looking miserable and purposely ignoring customers because they don't feel like working. It's no wonder there aren't many customers here.
