"Wife ordered beef Sunday roast. Tasted great but one carrot, 2 of the smallest potatos tea spoon of puray and hardly any gravy 18.00. I ordered fish and chips 18.00 asked for bread and butter which they didn't know how to charge, so they charged me 5.00 side order 5.00 for bread and butter. My fish and chips was disgusting to the point in still feeling rough in the little I hate. The dogs had fish and I could not even cut the chips , they were that overly cooked. Explained to the nice lady my issue, who said she would get the chef. No chef , no apologies no interest. Can't understand why a chef who should take pride in his work, does not want to know what's up with my meal 77.00 pound wasted. Will never go there again, and hopefully my sickness will clear up soon. Ps I'm not a complainer, I've just looked at my past reviews on here, and 15 are 5 with fab feedback"

This lovey country pub is a must visit. It nestles in beautiful countryside. As you walk in the staff are friendly and helpful. On cold days the open fires lite. The soup is a must try. It’s crummy as is all the food.

So lucky to have this small friendly pub so close to home. Dog friendly which is a must for us, great location for walkers hidden down a country lane on the edge of Marple Bridge in ludworth . The food is beautiful and not over priced. Great Menu and love the Sunday Lunch. Give it try

We were a large party for a celebration and the Hare and Hounds was brilliant for the occasion. The food was excellent, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the service was great considering there were 20 of us and we hadn’t pre ordered. Such a fantastic choice on the menu, beautifully presented. Thank you for making the evening so memorable.

We had not been here before. What a lovely pub. From the moment we walked in the greeting and general friendliness was great. The food was faultless and the service great too. There were 11 of our family and the kitchen got all the food out at the same time…did I mention that the food was lovely? . We had a great time and look forward to visiting again. Would massively recommend.

Popped in Sunday, lovely atmosphere the staff were all brilliant. We had a little brie and broccoli soup sent from the kitchen which was probably the best we've had could have eaten a bath full! Every course absolutely amazing my partner said its some of the best food she'd had in years. My little boy is 6 and can be a fussy eater however he cleared every plate he had we will definitely be going back!

Amazing! First time here after a recommendation from friends. Came for a light lunch. I had steak and onion on sourdough baguette with added blue cheese with a side salad. June had cauliflower cheese pie, yes I know!. All was fantastic. Then they brought the desert menu. Great selection, I managed to refrain, June had lemongrass mango and passion fruit panna cotta, delish. Even the drinks were awesome, grapefruit G&T and a pint of Madri. Defo coming back.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
