"As a family The Harp has always been a firm favourite so when we found they were reopening we booked a table. On arriving we got shown to our table with no communication on how to order with the new guidelines etc we were left to find a small square of paper on the table with a barcode to scan. This was simple enough we found the menu etc so we ordered drinks, starters and mains( as would normally be done by a staff member). Our drinks came and the lemonade was flat, this was sorted but with poor attitude. As soon as the starters where put down our mains arrived at the same time, I questioned this to be told the kitchen received the order at the same time with no apology. The garlic bread which we had ordered for starter was very pale and looked like it could have done with an extra couple of minutes in the oven. After the response we got to the starters arriving at the wrong time and the lemonade it seemed pointless to point this out along with the rare steak which was more medium to well. We normally love The Harp as the food is great and and were looking forward to seeing the refurbishment but left disappointed. I wouldn't normally leave a review like this but after eating out at several other restaurants in the county this week which were in a league above I felt I had too. I feel this could have mainly been resolved with a simple explanation on arrival about how to order and that we should order each course seperatly."

We had a great 2-night stay here to ring in the new year. We parked our camper van on site with no issues. We made a reservation at the restaurant and the food was amazing. They are dog-friendly with no hassle. We would definitely come back again. 5 stars. View menu

We decided to stop by this lovely pub on a whim while traveling from Fishguard on the A40 on a bank holiday Monday. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious restaurant and conservatory, as well as the option to dine with pets. We inquired about reservations and were able to enjoy a meal from the diverse menu. I had a fantastic starter and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our steak dishes.

Went fo Sunday lunch. Bar and restaurant appeared clean and inviting and bar staff were pleasant. Then the meal started. Dreadful. It is billed as a carvery but your only choice is type of meat. Our plates were taken off us and a server piled spoonfuls of sorry looking mush on our plates and piled so high that it didn't fit on the plate. Plates handed back to us only to be taken off us again by the boy in charge of gravy who slopped a ladle of watery brown liquid all over the plate. And eating it was worse. Everything tasted the same, as in no taste due to being very over-cooked. Had to put a layer of salt and pepper on top of the pile, eat that layer then put more salt and pepper on next la...
