"I have already eaten here as they have many good vegan options on their menu, and also have an excellent selection of vegan (unbound) beer, but that was the first time I tried a pizza from her wood-fired pizza oven in the garden, and I was honestly blown away! I had heard they were good, but they didn't expect them to be so good! I went for meatless meat pizza, with vegan meatballs, huh and pfefferoni, ' vegan cheese and a tomato base, and while I am often less impressed by vegan meat alternatives, this was really good. they will also like to veganize any of the pizzas on the menu. whether they are warned, even if they are a great eater, you will fill more than they! service was excellent, and it was great to see in the location how my pizza is cooked while enjoying a beer in the beautiful garden. I talked to the chap that made the pizzas (tony, I think) and he said they only fire a few times in the week on the ones, so they should check before they get up. highly recommended!"

I went there on Sunday for lunch with a vegan friend and 2 non- vegan. Vegan options for main meal were varied I had the vegan cheeseburger (what was excellent) and my friend had the teaer they really enjoyed. there was a vegan dessert that was also very good. the non vegans also enjoyed their meal. beautiful pub, full of native, brilliant alcohol options (50 gins to choose from) the staff was polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend to come here and look forward to the visit again.

I've been drinking at this amazing place for many years, but the only thing on the menu I could eat was chips until now. Went in last night and was amazed to see that they had vegan options on their main menu! Only three for now, but way better than anywhere else in the village, so we tried all three. My faves were the Thai duck' curry and Five-Bean Chilli, but the Tagliatelle and roasted veg was good too (just a tad on the sweet side for me, which will probably be perfect for more normal folk Portions were very generous too, and service excellent. Well all I can say about this visit can be summed up in one word awesome and fabulous ok it took two words sorry. The overall service across the board includes the two words I mentioned. The staff cannot do enough for your comfort and nothing is too much for efforts to please you. This all stems from the great leadership of their managers Phill Sophie who instill a great ethos into their staff and they also lead by example . So big thanks to them for that . I cannot wait to return to this area because I know where I'll be staying . The warm and friendly family atmosphere made me feel at home . From checking in with Rachel or Melany you instantly know how your evening is going to be special ....

I ate here for the first time last night and was really impressed with their new vegan/vegetarian menu. It's very rare to go to a restaurant that specialises in animal products and find not one, but THREE vegan options on the menu! Three of us ate, so we tried one of each. Everything was really tasty but my favourite was the Five Bean Chilli, very well seasoned and I loved the addition of micro greens as a garnish. The service was brilliant, the staff were all very attentive and the portions were generous. One of my main bugbears with eating out somewhere that's not completely vegan is that they don't take into account that the ingredients are not as calorie-dense, and never give you enough...

"Went with my partner who’d been here a good few years before and had fond memories of it. It’s changed! I was told on the phone it was advisable to book, I have no idea why as it was practically empty. We were pretty much ignored when we got there by an older woman behind the bar but hoped it would get better. The elderly woman on another table went off to find her own pepper so I should’ve known then. We ordered drinks and one pint of flat coke later we asked to send it back, I was told it was indeed real Coke by the sullen looking waitress wearing cycling shorts. She then admitted it wasn’t real Coke and did he want a bottle of that. We were waiting so long for our food that dirty glasses were accumulating on the table and at one point we put them up on the window sill. Then noticed a dirty big stain on the table cloth and a candle holder with old wax in but no candle left there on the table. We asked how much longer the food was going to be as we both had work in the morning and it turned upafter 60 minutes and I wish we’d have left 20 minutes earlier when we’d thought of doing so. When it came it was a shock to see the £27 sirloin steak. Over priced and average at best. We had to ask the waitress ‘can you please take all these dirty glasses while we eat?’ The meal was already ruined and our evening out spoiled not by the food but by the shoddy way we were treated from start to finish. Even the lemon had to be sent back! No juice, fell away from the skin into mush so god knows how long that’d been there. Apparently she needed to tell the chef but brought back more of the same. We had to quibble the bill afterwards as the pint of flat cola syrup sent back was still on there. The manageress or whatever her job title is should be embarrassed at how customers are treated but unfortunately it was obvious she didn’t care and no apology given and she treated us exactly the same. If o was on my own I wouldn’t have paid so they’re lucky we did. It was one thing after another. We came home feeling like we’d been taken advantage of and I wish I’d said more at the time. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, I chalk it up to experience and move on so you can imagine how bad it was. If you like fawlty towers you may enjoy this farce but we’ll put this down to one place we’ll never go back to and will NEVER recommend. Joke of a place. What a shame."
