"My partner was out walking when he came across this pub. He noticed the A board outside advertising curry night. We decided to walk from the canal where we had moored our narrowboat. Such a lovely warm welcome when we walked in. Open fire was going and a few locals at the bar. Proper English country pub atmosphere. We ordered out curry. I had tandoori mixed grill and my partner had Thai green chicken curry. Food arrived in good time and was delicious, helped down by a pint of IPA ale. Such a wonderful time. Thank you all for wonderful food served by really friendly staff. Will recommend this pub to everybody. Well worth the 15 min walk from the canal. Hope to visit again soon."

Went with visiting family for their set Sunday lunch and had a fantastic meal. Delicious and plenty of it, and oh, the sticky toffee pudding!!! Lovely, friendly and very cosy environment, we were made to feel most welcomed.

17/5/22 We three middle aged guys were touring the area's archeological and historical sites. We lost track of time popping into The church of All Cannings, we felt like a drink and saw the pub on TA but it was closing in five minutes! I...

A really friendly pub in a lovely village. Great selection on the menu and a wide variety of specials. I had the rack of BBQ ribs which was amazing and so tender. Husband had the Shepherd's pie and that was delicious too. Highly recommend this... View menu

The Kings Arms is a fantastic, cozy pub with a talented new chef and a superb seasonal menu. I highly recommend this place and am pleased to have it as a local spot close to home. The front of house staff are all very polite and attentive to guests. Well done to everyone involved!

The Boxing Day menu was limited, but the food was excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere very welcoming. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next day to try the full menu, but it was still limited - not that it mattered. The food was fantastic and the portions were generous. View menu

I had a weekend away to celebrate my 70th birthday. I arrived with my family, 5 adults and 2 children, for a pub lunch without prior booking. The staff were a little worried due to a pre-booked party arriving shortly afterwards. As it was sunny we happily sat outside. The food was good and the service was excellent. Would happily eat there again.

When my plaice finally arrived, it looked like it had been defrosted and then cooked as there was water all over the plate mixing with the butter and capers. It was disappointing, especially since the restaurant had a good reputation for being a friendly and traditional pub. It seems like they have a new chef based on their social media posts, but someone really needs to proofread them as the spelling and grammar mistakes reflect poorly on the establishment. While I appreciate a confident chef, in this case, the chef's ego didn't match the quality of the food. It seems like their ego is more suited for social media than the kitchen.
