"The King's Head has been a valuable eating and drinking place of mine for over a decade buy in 2021/2022 o went downhill in my opinion when new landlords came in, got rid of my favourite beer (Ghost Ship) and food standards dropped. It was by chance that I popped in recently to take a look and had a long chat with Tara only to discover that there new guys in charge and that Tara's son was still the chef in the kitchen. So, a few days later a friend and I booked a lunch and we were both pleasantly surprised by the improvements and returning to the standards that we were used to. Thank the lord and we will be coming back. Ten out of ten."

We enjoyed our evening very much. Tara looked after us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Menu not fancy but solid pub food which was just what we were looking for.

Menu was limited, so wasn't able to choose something that I really fancied. Found prices to be high for pub food and wine pricey too. Food was nice, but not as good as expected for the price. Service with a smile though, despite being understaffed. Has a lovely evening, but light pockets!

my friend ordered the lamb, but had to send it back because it was cold and hard. the cake was tasty, but the vegetables were overcooked and not good. the burger was dry. they seemed to be very short staff, as there was only one waiter and he was away from his feet, so the service was not good. very too expensive for what it is. disappointed

this is not our first visit to the kings head. the service is always brilliant and the food is exceptional. tara and her team are very warm and welcoming. we have a sohn with autism and he has many problems with eating and the team are always so courteous. this special visit, we had just come home from a long Haul flight and we were tired and hungry and not really with it. we were very well looked at the moment when we walked through the door until we were gone. eating was absolutely fantastic.
