"After having chances upon the Kings Head 3 weeks ago, my mother in law decided she wanted to make a 50 mile detour on our way home from her birthday day trip. This was a great choice. We received a very warm welcome from happy friendly staff and despite it being reasonable busy, we were not rushed into ordering our dinner. When our dinner arrived (only about 30 minutes) it was hot, very tasty and plentiful. The whopper burger certainly lives up to its name and the burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly. The lady behind the bar could not have been more helpful in explaining about the desserts etc after our main meals and when they arrived, once again they were hot and very very tasty. The toffee sponge was happily chowed down by mother. We shall without doubt be going back here in the future."

Stopped on chance. Had classic pub meals, lasagne and steak pie, both of which were very tasty and excellent value. The pub is doing a Stirling job in the current challenging circumstances

Cara and her team are fantastic. They were able to accommodate us for Sunday lunch, which was plentiful and definitely worth the cost, especially with dessert included. The service was friendly and welcoming.

The food was appalling! No fresh veg (very watery, obviously from frozen) The beef? Certainly not cut off a joint from the kitchen, (frozen slices or tinned) Tasteless plate of food. Would be better off with a birds eye TV dinner. View menu

The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The service was exceptional. However, I was disappointed by the condition of the animals in the garden, especially the rabbit. The hutch was filthy and unpleasant. I would love to take the rabbit home and provide it with better care.

We had a wonderful evening with our elderly relatives at The Kings Head. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and they followed all Covid restrictions with plenty of sanitiser available. The place was very clean as well. I would highly recommend dining at The Kings Head.

Went for lunch with 2 year old granddaughter as we knew the pub has swings and climbing frames as well as animals for her to see. Really great value meal, 2 courses for 8 pounds. Had ham egg and chips, wife had scampi. Fast service, good portions and puddings too. Add to this a nice pint of beer and all in all a really nice lunch. We will be back.

Stopped on the spur of the moment and was not disappointed! Fab steak and kidney pie, fresh peas, the pie was full of meltingly tender beef and lovely chunks of kidney in a rich gravy. Topped off with crumble and ice cream with a pint of crisp cold cider, superb. My wife had the hunters chicken and Eton mess equally as lovely and not a scrap left. Value for money, nice staff and good cider. I rest my case. Try it!
