"There's a lot of weird around some credible cooking...its like Jamie, if Jamie had a mid level brain injury. The fit out is a case in point. Mod elements, so awkwardly put together that the place is love cabbage and licorice in a fruit salad. Nothing wrong with any kne element, but together...the food is pretty much the same. The entrees are really very good...well handled, though the monkfish needed a more delicate hand with the salt curing. The pickled veg excellent. The mains are like a F1 driver on a wet circuit, with dry tyres. The cod piece is delightful and beautifully cooked, but on a suce that needs to be 25pc reduced, and potatoes that need to simmer in the sauce before serving. The aubergine is quite blah, and the portion not great value. The bread is just weird...the kind of supermarket choice you let go stake for want of use, then toast when desperate...here, it's been cut so haphazardly that it resembles the survivor of a visit from Norman Bates. The service is truly delightful and moderately professional. The table layout is consistent with everything else here...just needing a month in rehab to function normally..."

Very pleasant restaurant, nice atmosphere, views over the river are lovely, staff friendly and courteous. Only real gripe: the desserts are far too expensive, I'm all about the dessert usually, but I can't splash out 8 for one.

This resturant has a great location and the view from the window is fantastic but in terms of food it is absolutely TASTELESS even though it looks good. the lunch and early evening menu is very poor and the dinner menu is over priced. It was an okay experience but not going to repeat it.

they had such a wonderful selection of gluten-free options! almost everything on the menu could be made gf. I have the baked filet of kabeljau with a side of the tomaten mozzarella salat, my partner got the bark cheek, both were amazing! the cocktails were also delicious, we loved everything!

Great little place set over 3 floors overlooking the river. We sat at the top floor and had a great view. Very reasonably priced set dinner menu. Catered really well for children too. Food was delicious apart from the dessert from the specials menu which was a really odd and dry deconstructed rice pudding.

it is better to book this place some days in advance. I would say that building and interior is more common, also through it looks modern from the outside. views are great through and averybody is friendly. they do not have a great choice for drinks and eating. but I will still give them 5 stars, because the food was delicious and our fish was well cooked.

Booked an 8pm reservation. Check-in staff was friendly and got us to our table quickly. We decided on two house drinks, the Carmel white Russian and Monkey Business. The white Russian was a bit overwhelmingly creamy and the monkey business old fashioned was way too orangey and mostly ice. The starters were good, nothing noteworthy though. Monk fish came out great and had a bit of a spice to it. View menu

I loved this place! we had lunch here. eating was exceptional, small portions, but the taste was amazing. risotto to perfection and my young had eier who looked good, couldn't try! especially the staff was great, we sat in the first floor with great look and even better music. Unfortunately can not remember the name of the man who worked above except he had a good bag, but he was amazing, impeccable service, friendly and friendly they know who I mean the music maestro! . thank you for having made it such a great afternoon with my son! cannot wait to come back.

A decent meal. A little disappointed that current menu on website was not up to date with what was served in restaurant. My father had wanted the vension advertised online but not on menu. This was the same when went with a mate. Had soup to start, for my preference this was slightly over peppered. The main was good, though pork was just on the underdone side. It was slightly pink, pork should be cooked through. Cheese board was fine but no butter. Both my parents were happy with their mains. Overall a good experience but a slight improvement needed for 5 stars.

"Oh, what a day we had at The White House for my auntie’s 88th! It was pure magic, right from the off. The team there couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us all feel right at home in the heart of Scotland. Now, let’s gab about the food it was out of this world! We started with gluten free fish n chips, and let me tell you, it was as good as any chippy by the sea – crispy, golden, and just packed with flavor. The venison steak and beef short rib? Cooked just how you’d want them, tender and full of taste. The gluten free burgers were a hit too, so juicy and well seasoned. For pudding, we had these scoops of ice cream, smooth as you like, and an apple crunch cheesecake that was simply to die for. But it was our server, Anastasia, who really made our day. She was a wee star – always there with a smile, quick with a recommendation, and knew her menu inside out. I barely noticed our water bottle was empty, and whoosh, there she was with a full one. That’s service for you! The atmosphere in The White House was just as warm and inviting as you’d hope for. It felt like sitting in a cosy wee pub in the Highlands, with all the charm and friendliness you’d expect. So, if you’re ever in the mood for a meal that’s as satisfying as a wee dram on a cold night, head to The White House. It’s not just eating; it’s a proper Scottish experience, full of heart and soul"
