"My sister (45) and I (44) visited a restaurant today to celebrate the birthdays of my mum (72) and my godmother (71) after hearing good things about their afternoon tea. I have to say, we were not disappointed. The whole experience was delightful. We were warmly greeted by Linda and shown to our table. They offered a great selection of teas and the food was absolutely delicious. We appreciated the simplicity of the sandwiches and pastries, which were tasty and familiar. The sandwiches included cream cheese and cucumber, ham with Dijon mustard, and egg mayo. The scones were light and fluffy, while the cakes, including Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, and red velvet, were all delicious. The waitstaff, including Lily, Harry, and Linda, were attentive and accommodating. As a special surprise, they brought out individual cupcakes with candles and sang happy birthday to the ladies, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend having afternoon tea at this restaurant. It is well worth the money and provides a great experience."

This bakery is bright and spacious, located near the towpath on the canal where you can see boats and locks. The staff served our coffees and fruit juices with a friendly smile.

Our daughter took us there for a light lunch and what a pleasant tea shop this is. Sandwiches and bagels etc made fresh to order and served with great warmth by our Server. Our daughter is vegan and there were plenty of options for her both in the sandwiches and cake choices. This is a great addition to the area and I was interested to see how community minded they are with numerous get together organised for various groups.

Stopped here en route to friends . Stopped for coffee which was FIRST CLASS . We shared a panini which was great . Enjoyed so much we purchased a few cakes, scones and choc brownies to take away . They are all home made and we’re INCREDIBLE . The owners need to set their ambition higher …….the quality of the coffee home made cakes were unbelievable. A must visit . I just don’t understand why Croxley Green ………they should be in Covent Garden or Knightsbridge

Where do I start. Rachel and her team baked a birthday cake a few days ago for my son’s birthday. The parents, children and the Fratelli Italian Restaurant we celebrated the birthday were utterly flawed. This cake is a piece of art executed to precision at its best. I’m a fashion designer and I work with attention to detail. I was speechless. I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Rachel and her team. You put the icing on the cake and finished our party in style

We held our baby shower at this restaurant yesterday and I wanted to quickly write a review to say how fantastic it was. The staff were friendly and attentive, with Gemma the manager being particularly helpful with the preparations. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! We had the whole place to ourselves for just over 20 people for 2.5 hours and time flew by. They served a variety of tasty sandwiches, freshly made warm scones with cream and jam, and beautiful, delicious cakes. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Honestly, this place deserves to have people queuing out the door, it’s amazing. Unassuming exterior hides a top class spot we had afternoon tea but the rest of the menu looked just as good. Proper tea, in a proper pot, yummy sandwiches on bread so fresh it crumbles. Superb cake selection (so many we had option paralysis). Lovely, personal, friendly service, attentive without being intrusive. We mentioned the scrummy pickle in the sandwiches and were given a pot to take home. Highly recommended and well worth 5 big fat stars with jam on

A group of 6 of us went to The Kitchen in Croxley for afternoon tea. We didn't have the full blown afternoon tea, which looked fabulous and contained a huge amount of food. Instead, we all had scones, or tea cakes, and some pieces of cake to share. The whole experience was wonderful, from the service, to the home made scones and cakes. There's a wide selection of teas and coffees and the big bonus is the cost is really reasonable. Everything that can be is locally sourced ingredients from local farms where possible. Will we go again? Absolutely! Five stars!!
