"Sat 8/10/22..1900 – On good recommendation I placed quite an expensive order with The Lime Tree, for delivery. Over an hour and a half later, I’m still waiting for my food, so I made a call to the establishment, in order to find out what the delay was. I was told that my food was on its way and that it should be with me in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later, no food, so I made another call, this time to be told that it would be 5 mins. Anyway, over 2 hours 20 mins later the food was eventually delivered. No apologies from the delivery driver, who was on his toes straight away. Strangely enough the food was cold! I ordered the lamb madras, which came in a large foil container – 7 of the smallest pieces of lamb cubes floating around in the sauce, it was more like a lamb madras soup! The veggie curry was dry and lacking content also, the rice was dry and hard, the Bombay potatoes were dry and tasteless, the papadums were more like oversized crisps and as for the mango chutney, which came in the smallest plastic container ever, was watered down to max. ing awful, considering what I had paid. Not only does The Lime Tree’s integrity stink, their so called food was the worst excuse for a curry I have ever experienced, certainly not ‘A Delight in Every Bite’ as they clearly state and definitely not the ‘Gold Standard of Cooking’ they allege to ‘Maintain’. It was rank and something I didn’t ‘Indulge in’ which ended up in the bin! Is this the way you treat decent paying customers You should be ashamed of yourselves! I can’t comment about eating in, however I for one will not be using this establishment again and as for recommending, not a hope in hells chance..!"

As a new comer to Leighton Buzzard I googled best Indian around, well let me tell you unless you are drunk or from Sunderland DO NOT order any food from this place no taste or flavour.

Visited The Lime Tree recently and although the food was tasty. The quantity of the chicken in both our ordered meals was the smallest we have encountered in any of the Indian restaurants we have visited. Won't be visiting again until portion size has improved.

Ordered for 745 well in advance ‘cos that’s when we wanted to eat. Phoned to chase at 820 the traditional “Sorry, the driver will be with you in 5 minutes” nonsense . Eventually arrived nearly an hour late and cold. Won’t order from there again. Food, once heated is OK nothing special.

This place has the best food, I have ordered from here many times and the food never fails. Take away or eat in, the food is always fantastic. I recently moved to the area and it’s so hard to find a lovely restaurant and I’m so glad I listened to my new neighbours!! Will definitely recommend when asked!!!

This is my favourite Indian takeaway that I've had. The Coriander Garlic Naan was freshly made and had a delightful chew. I would absolutely recommend the Elachi Gosth. If you're looking for a definition for Moreish, The Lime Tree is it! The delivery was in reasonable time, I ordered at about 20:55 and it arrived at 21:35. The food was hot and ready to consume. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
