"The Food Is excellent, menus are brilliantly prices, the staff are friendly and especially everything is clean, tidy in ship shape order, you can eat, outside or inside, massive range of alcohol drinks and special beers, some for everyone if your over 21..... Lovely looking venue,, really really tasty food.... Everything is well presented, when there is s lot of people in there is quite a lot of noise, but mostly it's the regulars... Lovely looking flowers hang from the outside as you woukd expect, there is lots of interesting pictures on the walls, especially as it's a Portsmouth Weather Spoons.... Pictures of famous people, such as Peter Sellers, who was born on the corner of castle Road, (above the Chinese takeaway.. less than 10 minutes walk... The pub is close to Southsea shops, the sea front.... most of the main amenities... The pub, is well worth a visit.. It has Free cloud WiFi access, multi refill hot drinks, The only draw back is the toilets, mens are quite smelly, the Gents cubicles really need looking after better sometimes the smell of toilets not being flushed, came make a person really feel sick, (so be careful, to breath through your slight open mouth.. Other than that it could do with toilet Brushes and a air fresheners... Through out.... Other than that, all is great.... Especially the refills on all teas coffee.... Thats brilliant.... Not places charge extra for that... There is also games machines and big tvs also a big sound lights system, for hires I believe.... Thank you for reading the reviews I have done, please take a look at the others, I have reviewed... Thank you."

The food nice. The atmosphere very relaxed. The staff were friendly and made sure we enjoyed our meal. The lighting is a little dark, but overall it's a nice place.

Fine but in need of some refurbishment. Gents toilets and doors need a good clean. Dirty and greasy. Less effort on serving people using the app and not enough servers behind the bar for old gits like me

great! we had a quick breakfast before a walk along the coast. service was excellent, eating was nice and came out very quickly. the pub was very quiet with just a few other chicks eating breakfast. the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice premises and usually good food. Staff are very friendly. Only downside to this place is stock issues, some items disappear and reappear on the menu seemingly randomly and it is common for some meals/ food items to not be available. Overall would recommend this place!

A fairly typical branch of JD Wetherspoon. Typically good menu of competitively priced well cooked, and well presented food. Great range of beers and spirits and adequate wines. Fast service and efficient staff. Cleanliness below par and the nonexistent WiFi and no 4g phone signal made my usual order from the table impossible.

Service is always good here the staff are lovely and bless them for how hard they have to work. The breakfast that we came in for was luke warm, I find all wetherspoon breakfasts are wherever you go. Definitely not the 63 degrees cooked food should on serving. The cocktails are always good, bit watered down but lush nonetheless.
