"a small sign discovered on the road to the campsite sea barn farm, so decided to take a look after the place of the tent. it is well hidden in chickerell village, but signed on the side of the houses. we arrived and it looked closed without lighter outside and without signs of people. parked high and went to the door to find people. the bar is directly from the door and on an elevated seat area, invisible as they arrive. friendly and helpful staff, many native and a good atmosphere, it feels like a fun place to live near. they were open, served eating and allowed dogs that will become a thema of my reviews. there is plenty of space inside, a good public bar and many tables. good selection of be on the tap and the menu had all important pub classics. burger and chips, ham eierchips, plus the children had their smaller basket meal more then something of the children's menu. eating was good, really nice burger. everyone thought the chip was excellent and was generous in portions. our beers were great and we enjoyed our evening in the lugger inn."

This charming pub has a fantastic atmosphere with plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. The quiz night was enjoyable and the food was delicious as well.

First visit was drinks on Saturday afternoon, which was lovely, so we booked Sunday lunch, which was absolutely fabulous. Third visit was on BBQ night and we were not disappointed. Really lovely old pub/restaurant, the staff are great and the food is fabulous

very much the center of the community and impressive to have created this in just two years during a lockdown. room comfortable and clean with good shower. eat nice 'pub' menu with good vegetarian choice. was a party night with live music while we were there and very loud-but ended before 11 o'clock.

Stopped for the night upon visiting family, fed up of the hassle of London life and this short rest was a breath of fresh air. Food on point, atmosphere was nice throughout the bar and dine in area. Quick service both bar and food wise with friendly staff plus the jacuzzi bath was a bonus to bubble away the stress

What an experience! Great atmosphere, best Sunday roast any of us had eaten (except for my wife's Sunday roast). Good service. 19 of us, plus a dog, from 18 months to 80 years, celebrated the 80th birthday with a Sunday roast, desserts and drinks and with gluten and dairy free requests. A lot of organising. All went superbly well. Thank you.

What a gem of a pub. Liam, give Leonie a raise as you never want her to leave. We were in Weymouth for the macmillan mighty hike and this was best place to stay. Comfortable clean rooms, gorgeous dinner on night one. No problem with ordering pizza to the pub as we got back to the hike after they’d finished serving last night and an amazing continental breakfast before we left this morning, despite it not being part of their overall offering. All the staff were brilliant and we felt very well looked after. Proper, lovely pub, and great value. If you want a white wine, order the Viognier. It’s really really good.
