"This restaurant has a menu clearly marked with gluten-free options and offers a good variety of choices. Some dishes are entirely gluten-free while others can be made gluten-free upon request (marked as GFA gluten-free available). The staff was knowledgeable about my dietary needs and took them seriously. All burgers can be made with a gluten-free bun and the fries are cooked in a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination. They also offer a dessert menu with several gluten-free options. The food was delicious and I highly recommend dining here!"

Lovely traditional pub with great variety of beers (including cask ones). The deco is cool and it makes it different from other pubs.

Delicious food with plenty of gluten-free options available. The staff appeared to be well-informed about dietary restrictions. As a person with celiac disease, I did not experience any problems after dining here.

There are multiple gluten-free options available on the menu and the staff is attentive to dietary restrictions. The burgers are delicious and the pub has a great atmosphere, with a variety of cider and wine choices.

Great quirky pub with very interesting decorations from yesteryear. Superb little French bistro style cuisine. Had a great brie tartlette for starters and an excellent fish pie with roasted vegetables, and a lovely coffee to finish off. View menu

This charming pub has a pleasant atmosphere and exceedingly friendly staff. They offer a wide variety of beers and an appealing menu. Their hamburger is particularly delicious! Overall, everything was spot on at this welcoming establishment.

We took our chances turning up here on a late Saturday lunchtime without a booking but the staff were fantastic in finding us a table. The level of service was maintained through our lunch which featured some excellent French dishes. We will be back.

This establishment is a classic pub with a wide variety of drinks available. However, the food menu is limited for those who do not eat fish, but does offer unique options such as snails. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the location is a bit of a distance from the center of Oxford. View menu

Excellent old-school pub in Jericho. Tucked away down side streets, near the Oxford Canal. Not too far from town or the train station so easy to get to. Comfortable and cozy inside, it does get quite busy, with tables often reserved. Plenty of beer options and friendly staff. Didn't have food when I last went but what I saw people having looked good. Definitely worth a diversion from town.

We only stopped in for a quick drink at 4:55 on a Sunday afternoon. The pub looked like a charming old place. The bartender was friendly enough, but I wish she had informed us that they were about to close. Instead, a surly-looking girl outside told the seated customers and started removing umbrellas from the tables. We felt quite unwelcome, but fortunately we had to catch a train so we didn't linger.

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
