"We didn't stay in a room, I was really disappointed! The breakfast was just warm, but the presentation was good, and it looked good on the plate.. That's as good as it got! My yolk on my fried egg was hard and nut runny, and they pride themselves on the Black Bull Beans. These aren't for me, like little bullets, hard and very bland! I was told after my meal I could have had normal baked bean if I wished!! No good telling me after! "We visited on a Sunday after a wet windy dog walk , we booked last minute, they were more than happy to accommodate us and found us a dog friendly table in the bar . We had the Sunday roast, it was absolutely delicious one of the best I have had , great potion size too , we orderd extra gravy, pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese, all of which were lovely . My only disappointment was I had no room for dessert next time we won’t order sides , the atmosphere was very friendly and cozy , great service too. We will definitely be back and would recommend . "I went there for Christmas dinner with my partner and we had a horrible experience will never go again. My partner had steak which was lovely but the chips, onions, sauce and other accompaniments were cold. I had traditional turkey the only edible thing was the carrots and turkey! The roast potatoes were hard as rock and seemed either overcooked or cooked from frozen. The parsnips I couldn’t cut, cauliflower was hard and the pigs in blanket was so hard it couldn’t be cut. There wasn't even a yorkshire pudding. We complained just about mine and they brought me a new one but that was worse. In the end I only ate a few carrots and some turkey. I complained again when he came to ask how it was again. He said he would ask manager to come over, he took 15/20 mins in meantime my psrtmer had eaten his steak and I was just sat there. The manager offered to let us have our 1 drink each free plus one more round. I was grateful they had offered but it had still spoiled my Christmas and I was emotional as I work every year as a nurse on Christmas Day and cook when I get in (for 40 years) this was the only time I had been out for christmas dinner. It took 50 mins to clear our plates. I just wanted to go home but we had dessert to eat so I had that it was nice but was described as Eton Mess but it was just a big meringue with a dollop of cream on and about 2 strawberries chopped up no sauce at all. The server was nice but we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get a drink even though we were the last sitting and the kitchen was closed, it wasn’t that busy. I am disappointed and even though they tried to help me it wasn't enough, when we paid £90 each. They warm everything up in the microwave I think apart from meat and fish that’s what it tasted like anyway."

"If you are in Calverton or even passing by, call in to this fish bar, they offer take away or.sit in. The staff are amazing and the food cooked fresh and is very tatsy and piping hot. Large selection from Cod, haddock, pies and all the chippy faves, or if you fancy have a kebab. I had cod chips and mushy peas (ofcourse lol) and it was gorgeous crispy batter not fatty or greasy at all. Highly recommend. The restaurant area and serving area are spottless A real nice place to sit and eat"

"I had heard about Morton's Farm Tearooms but had only a vague idea of its location. As illness prevented one of our group from meeting up, there was a quick change of plans. I decided to see whether there was a table available for 2...45. I was asked whether it was for coffee and cake and my reply was that I did not know what was on offer. On arrival I thought that it was a bit quirky to ring the bell, but I didn't have a problem with that. Our welcome was warm and the kitchen was still open for hot food , if that was what we wanted. Lovely table in the bay window, with the sunshine falling on us., brilliant location and lovely garden.Freshly made food, polite and friendly staff ..Oh yes we'll be back."
