"Went for the first time since re-opening. Not impressed with covid precautions. Tables close together. Customers walking around to order meals and drinks at the bar which isn't what most pubs are doing. No one way flow in place. Condiments on table which weren't wiped,...usual menus on table, bottles of sauce. Manager walking round pub chatting with people with no regard for social distancing. Only one member of staff wore a mask. Ordered 2 x mixed grills which were excellent. 1 chicken kiev which was inedible so sent back. 1 hunters chicken with a very watery sauce. Won't rush back"

A great place for a family meal, the service was attentive without being intrusive, completely COVID secure with a really good menu although you can’t get a burger! A must try when in the area.

Hadn't been here for a long time, came on a Friday lunchtime, the waiter/barman was very friendly and helpful, there were only 6 other people there but it still had a pleasant atmosphere, the food was excellent and very good choice, well worth a visit

we were often at the pheasant and never had a bad experience. eating is always very good, always hot and always the staff is beautiful. we often visit on Friday afternoon and have the frying dinner at £9.99, which is great. loading of veg and good quality meat.

I'll bring my 95-year-old dad up regularly. He brought my mother here in the years of her life. the center of the pheasant is on the eat. eating is great with good choice and the atmosphere is refined, but affordable. there are many homemade creations. do not hesitate to try it. View menu

I met up with a friend for lunch. We booked the day before. The meals were excellent and the staff were lovely. It wasn't very busy so no problem with social distancing can't comment on what it's like when busy. I had the local...sausages with mashed potato and my friend had the mushroom spaghetti bolognaise. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food. The pub is very old in the heart of a small village and we had a walk round to the ancient church to work off the meal. Recommended.

7 of us came on 10th april to celebrate my 80th birthday. in the past we have often visited this pub, but with the current situation we were a little worried that there might not be enough personal or even a lack of menu choices....It was one of our last pub experiences. the coworkers were brilliant all the appetizers main meals came without delay. the food proportions were generous, but so tasty that there were no empty dishes. this was the first visit for some who said I would like to return. I couldn't say better
