"Super friendly staff, top quality ta food and super comfy rooms. We really could not have asked for more, the staff went above and beyond. We had a wonderful warm welcome and the facilities in the rooms were everything we could need. Would definitely recommend and if we are ever back in that neck of the woods we would absolutely stay again. Rooms: Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate making facilities. Shampoo, shower gel and hand soap provided with plenty of towels. Bed was super comfy!! Food drinks: The food was amazing! Piping hot and cooked fresh. Felt like proper home cooking."

The staff were really friendly, and there was a great selection of real ales. We didn't dine there, but the food certainly seemed appealing.

"(Delivery) Considering the high rating on Tripadvisor and the reviews of the place we were ready to give Kali Mirchi a go. After quotes of Best Indian and So much flavour being thrown around, we were anticipating a much needed curry. After placing the order and being told it would be 40 minutes, we waited an hour before we called to be told it had just left and would be with us any minute. It came to £19.20 so I gave the driver £20 and was told he had no change! Biting my lip to the sofa we dug in to our starters. The Onion Bhajis were more gram flour than onion and for such a cheap dish to make was surprising. I could taste the old oil which isn 't always a bad thing if it wasn 't for there being too much flour to soak it up. Oily onion bhajis seen to, mains were a go. I love my naan bread and wasn 't all that impressed with the one I had infront of me, the bright red keema filling had all dropped to one side and it was very thin. The pilau rice was nice though, I think they had added a touch of saffron. The Chicken Tikka Masala was average at best and tasted alot like cheese. Not how I would expect, it was also luke warm but did have good chunks of chicken. The lamb jalfrezi was overly spiced and had more than enough green chillies but abit too much oil. Unfortunalty we didnt feel Kali Mirchi had lived up to its reputation and I am a firm believer that food should be a similar standard when delivered, if this is the standard in restaurant then I would be very disappointed to have made the journey. Summary Nothing special, average experience for a takeaway, good portions of meat, but bad balance of spice and flavour. Check your change and order well in advance!"

"We arrived for a casual dinner, drinks order was taken fairly prompt but we waited around another 20 minutes for our food order to be taken. We were told by the waitress they had run out of Nachos, which i was amazed any mexican restaurant could do so (and wondered why they hadn't popped to the supermarket next door?! But they instead offered to do loaded fries instead of nachos. They also had ran out of the smoke aubergine taco so we found something else to order. Our sides came out first. Every single one of them was smothered in Coriander. I don't mind coriander as a garnish but we had to scrape off heaps off of each and every dish because it was unbearable and made everything taste the same. The cauliwings were the only good thing about this dinner. The loaded fries had so much cheese sauce, gauc and sour cream it came out as a soggy chip soup and the vegan mac and cheese was bland aside from if you got a mouthful of coriander. We also werent given any plates with our sides so we did our best to manage with napkins.. Our tacos didn't come out to us for a further 40 minutes. When they came out the fillings were stone cold and again smothered in coriander. We sent them back and 5 minutes later some warm ones were served to us. The restaurant had a DJ playing and I'm all for the energy but the volume of the music kept increasing and we were shouting at one another to have a conversation. Dissappointed and will never return!"
