"Since our usual restaurant choices were closed on Mondays, we decided to give the Abbey Hotel restaurant a try for a pre-theatre dinner. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived at 6pm. A lovely waitress escorted us to our table and served us a delicious bread roll while we looked over the menu. The menu was not extensive and seemed to be mainly for guests who had booked a dinner, bed, and breakfast package, so we were surprised by the additional charges listed after the prices. After questioning the prices with the waitress, my husband ordered the smoked salmon with potato salad, while I chose the wild mushrooms served in a pastry case. Both dishes were tasty, although the pastry was too hard to easily cut with a knife and fork. For our main courses, we had red mullet on ratatouille and pan-fried salmon with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables (carrots and parsnips). The dishes were small and overly sauced, with the vegetables swimming in butter. We paired our meal with two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, bringing the total to just over £56. While the meal was not overly expensive, it was not particularly impressive either. Compared to other restaurants we have visited in Malvern, it did not meet our expectations."

Great variety and plenty on the plate. Very helpful staff. Plenty of room in the restaurant between tables.

Eat here for breakfast three days running no quality bread spoilt it for us. The rest was standard fare for a four star hotel

This was open only to residents when we were there (and resident). The staff made a big effort to serve us well, despite the restrictions View menu

Decided to go for Sunday lunch on a whim, whilst on a day trip to Malvern. Efficient, friendly service, good food and lovely surroundings. Brought back happy memories of a family holiday some 20 years previously. Could not fault the experience. View menu

We ate here as part of a Secret Escapes Deal and I must say how impressed I was with the food. There's a nice choice for starters main and desserts all of which are reasonably priced. Presented beautifully as well and very tasty. Portions are on the smallish side though and, as with so many posh restaurants, you have to pay extra for a decent portion of vegetables. Despite these minor points, well worth eating there.

As we were staying at the Abbey Hotel and as it was a special time for us, we contemplated staying in and dining at The Priory View Restaurant. Note the Restaurant is named for the view of the neighbouring Priory Church the clue is in the name which is not an Abbey as is oft claimed. The Hotel is on Abbey Road, hence the name of the Hotel . However the clamour and disruption of some coach ? parties at Breakfast and other disapointments made us inclined to dine elsewhere and prompted us to meet with the Manager and discuss matters. He was courteous and helpful and it was agreed we would dine that night. The Manager personally sorted out a booking. When we went that evening they had reserved o...
