"Could there be a more British looking plate of food? Bright welcoming exterior with cosy wooden interiors, this is my ideal tavern. The unique bits of furniture also made it extra homey. Food was delicious, the sunday roast beef was tender, particularly with the onion gravy. Vegetables were bright and fresh, parsnip strips and cauliflower cheese were tasty. Fish and chips was spectacular, great batter, thick chips. Service was so welcoming too! Round it all off with beer and its the perfect sunday. My only wish was that there had been more beef and while they did ask for doneness, it was mostly medium well to well done. Though no less tender!"

This is a great place to visit because the members of staff are lovely. The place also has some unique and interesting items, many of which I photographed. It is extremely spacious and an ideal place to explore.

Our Motorbike club destination for that evening. Lovely surroundings and good beer. Some of our guys ate and really enjoyed the food. About 20 of us along with a few from another Classic bike club had a great meet.

This charming, historic pub features real fires, delicious food, and a fantastic selection of craft beers. Highly recommended. Be sure to use SatNav to locate it, as road signs are scarce. Price range: £20-30 per person. Food quality: 5 stars. Service: 5 stars. Atmosphere: 5 stars. Ample parking available in a free parking lot.

This restaurant is a nostalgic throwback to a different time, which I usually appreciate. However, serving food from that era at today's prices is not justifiable. The roast dinner, priced at £21, was reminiscent of school cafeteria quality. The staff's attitude was poor. It seems that the kitchen staff, suppliers, and overall food quality have changed recently. The price range per person is between £20-£30. The food quality is rated at 1, service at 2, and atmosphere at 3.

Really like this place the staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was delicious. Plenty of seating in side and out, we rang ahead and reserved a table which is worthwhile as it looks like it's popular and can be busy. The Pud seems to attract cyclist and car enthusiasts as some very beautiful vintage car were parked in the car park. The Pud is in the middle of nowhere so walking to it might not be an option. To be honest we only found it because it was recommended to us but I'm glad we did.
